I have added No.213 Squadron. (Hurricane).
Version1.3

During Operation "Dynamo" (British, French and Belgian troops cut off by the German army during the Battle of Dunkirk), the Hawker Hurricanes operated from British bases.
No 213 Squadron was withdrawn from Merville during the Battle of France to England, from there it flew constant patrols over the French coast during the evacuation.

I have downloaded the folder "ATAGDunkirk-Operation-Dynamo_SP Campaign.Hurricane." When I try to unzip it, I get the following message:"Can't open 'il2-sturmovik-MOD_Blitz because it's either not supported or the file has been damaged....' I have a previous folder "campaign_Dunkirk" installed in both 1CSoft Club and COD Blitz. They have never appeared in the Campaign's window. So, what am I doing wrong?

The error indicate that download is corrupted, not relate do -MOD, when installing ignore this folder, is not used anymore.

I have downloaded the mod, and i have tried to install it but it wont work. Could someone please explain step by step how to install it.

You are having problems because the download is missing a key file that prevents the campaign from displaying in the Campaign menu. I've attached below. That said, I am still walking through the steps to install a user made campaign.

Okay, I'm going to assume you have not installed another campaign before. If you have but are just having trouble with this one, well this may help anyway. I'm also going to go through a perhaps more manual process as I can see that the file structure in the zip file intends for you to install this into the structure of the game under the Steam directory. I do not recommend placing the files there as if you perform and update or a Steam integrity check, it may very well delete these files from that location as they are not part of the core game. So I'm going to recommend you place the files under your Documents folder. This will work just as well and prevent any undesired consequences.

There are two files related to the user created Dunkirk campaign.

The "campaign_213" file is the actual campaign and the "il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD -Blitz" file is a custom skin for the Hawker Hurricane.

Step 1
Unzip the two files into somewhere you can easily find them, probably into your Downloads folder.

Step 2
Create a new folder called "campaign_213" under the "custom" folder found here: C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\custom

Note that this is under "mission" folder and not the 'missions" folder. The custom folder may be empty, or it may have other folders in it.

Step 3
Navigate to the following folder where you downloaded and unzipped the campaign files:
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Downloads\campaign_213\cam paign_213\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\parts\bob\mission\campaign\campaign_213

Step 4
Copy the contents of this folder to the folder you created in Step #2

Step 5-A
If your custom folder was empty when you did Step #2, then you will have to create a "Campaign.ini" file using Notepad. Launch Notepad and add the following lines to a new file:

campaign_213

[campaign_213]
folder campaign_213
title No.213 Squadron.
image Poster.bmp

Save this file in the custom folder here: C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\custom. This will be the only file in this folder and your campaign folder will be underneath this. Also please ensure that your campaign.ini file has been saved as an "ini" file and not a "txt" file extension.

Step 5-B
If your custom folder was not empty then you should find a pre-existing "Campaign.ini". In this case open the file using Notepad and edit the file by adding "campaign_213" under the [Main] section and add a new section at the bottom of the file with the following text:

Save the campaigns.ini file.

Step #6 (I think optional if you wish to add the custom skin, otherwise the game will use a default skin).

Navigate to the Downloads folder where you unzipped the separate skin file:
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Downloads\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD-Blitz\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD-Blitz\PaintSchemes\Skins\HurricaneMkI

Copy the "Hurricane-MkI-1940-1.jpg" file to the following folder: C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\PaintSchemes\Skins\HurricaneMkI

Step 7 (only for this campaign)
The download is missing a "campaign.mis file that needs to go into the campaign_213 folder. It's a generic file that is only used as part of the menu system. All the other ".mis" files in the folder control individual missions in the campaign.

Unzip this file into the following folder: C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\custom\campaign_213
CampaignMis.zip

That should fix the display problem and the campaign should appear as "No. 213 Squadron. (Ceylon)" in the Single Player...Campaign menu.

Let me know here is this works for you. I'll work with the admin to get the missing file added to the download 7z file.

Massive thanks for your effort in helping, but i have three questions still.

1. "Create a new folder called "campaign_213" under the "custom" folder found here: C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\mission\campaign\custom". For some reason my 1C SoftClub folder is not in the "Documents" folder that you are referring to, its instead in C:\Users\<yourusername>\One Drive\Documents\. Does this matter?

2. What exactly does step 3 mean? "Navigate to the following folder where you downloaded and unzipped the campaign files:
C:\Users\<yourusername>\Downloads\campaign_213\cam paign_213\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\parts\bob\mission\campaign\campaign_213"

3. In step 5, my custom folder is empty but when i open Launchpad, there is already an existing "Campaign.ini" file with some of the basegame campaigns, am i to just copy:

title No.213 Squadron.

into it regardless?

Answers below:

1 - I use OneDrive as well. So the correct folder to use is under your C:\Users\<yourusername>\One Drive\Documents\ folder.

2 - If you downloaded the 7z files to your Downloads folder, and then unzipped them there, a folder structure will have been created under your Downloads folder that mirrors the folder structure under Steam. The files you want are inside the bottom/last folder I described (campaign_213). Use File Explorer to open that folder up and there will be a bunch of files there.

3 - Yes. Edit the pre-existing Campaign.ini and add the lines of text into each section. Under [Main] add the one line, and then add the other 4 lines to the bottom of the Campaign.ini file

First click on “All files” and then you should be able to save as an ini file. Alternatively right click on the Campaigns.txt file. A popup menu should appear. One of the menu options will be Rename. Click on that and rename it Campaigns.ini. It may give you a warning message saying something like changes may affect your file, just ignore that and apply and you should be god to go.

Learning your way through this one will open you up to many single player campaigns floating about on the Interwebs.
