Wow I got the whole thing on track record. Should be some good movies come out of this. Will post some screenies from my track review later.

My track file is on Drock's other thread, hopefully some good movie makers can use it!
Great evening, just wish I could do the formation flying, in the grand traditions of the RAF we were definitely more of a bomber stream!
Yeah, my bad. I saw it too. I have some sorting out to do with that. It's supposed to work so that if the attacking team doesn't complete the targets and time runs out, victory message goes to the defenders, then still allows 20min RTB time. I may have to replace that with the generic "mission over message" or the like. Then kill the process 1 minute after. Live and learn! Thanks Meyer!
Some screenshots of the fun today. Thanks everyone!!
lol I tried to hit the wing of the 109 flown by Randale but it didn't work.

Watching my track you saved my arse when I was nursing my blennie back to Littlestone on one engine! This might be when you had the collision, I'm sure I saw one aircraft end up in the drink off my 3 o'clock.
Yeeeeaaaahhh!
That whole thing was awesome - from Clodstreamer's whiskey-laden Wing-Killer, using the Force, getting rammed, Zim's beautiful landing (it really is fun to see a nose-over from the rear-gunner seat), to the final bridge going.
Wait till you guys see what next time will bring . . .
Flare
I have a track as well.
Can someone point me at the thread to collect these?
It should have my collision with the clown taking off on the crosswind runway.
Who does that?
I was a bit cross.
There'd been a bit of taxiing SNAFU and I had ended up sitting on the runway on Rebel's 7 O'Clock.
Woot! in the lead element and looking tidy.
VERY happy.
Admittedly I got a warning that there was crosswind traffic, but I was rolling - and an abort with traffic behind me was going to cause as much trouble.
I hope whoever that was, has learned a valuable lesson.
- Cos it sure made a mess of the Eastchurch active runway.
If there's lots of traffic - Active Runway only. ESPECIALLY if you have to wait.
Cutting corners does not save time.
Maybe I should change my sig to "If we didn't have time to do it right - how come we have time to do it again?"
(I think I'm still a bit cross).
Oh yeah - FANTASTIC sorties - I had HEAPS of fun thanks to everyone who organised, flew, or gunned.

Still a bit worried about the balance. Looking at the trak there was only 10, 109 fighters left by round 2. Blue was there a concern about lopsidedness that caused half of blue folks to leave? Here is a screen shot from round 2. Only 9 - 109s in the fight:

If so, let us know about this kind of stuff so we can fix it.

Whats' the problem?
We didn't all leave on Red side last time in Stuka Storm.
It was cool to see all these Blens in the air.

Here's my tracks.
Haven't reviewed yet.
I was near the back on the first sortie so you should be able to get some long camera angles of the whole group.

thread to collect vids for B2B
Looking back at the track of the first raid. We were initially bounced by just Berserker and JG26 Badger, followed swiftly by another 4-5 109s that I could see. This broke the raid up and a lot of aircraft went down.
Less than half the attacking bomber force landed back at Littlestone.
The balance can't have been far off, the reds turned the map in the end with 7 minutes to go, there would not have been time left for another flight if those last aircraft had been intercepted, in which case blues would have won, it was very close.
If there had been 5-10 more 109s in this map I think it would have been impossible for reds to win in the hour and a half allocated, with the target numbers as long as blues made the interception.
If you want a map with large numbers of fighters then its going to be a Turkey shoot if both sides know the target area and pretty much the only viable routes to and from target in the time allowed.
"This broke the raid up and a lot of aircraft went down".
This was planed in the brief and worked well I believe as with the first raid we took out One section (green ) and almost all of the airfield plus a couple of other targets in orange sector. A fun night or morning depending on ones location.
What, no 110s?
Uneven teams? (doesn't help when you sign up, but don't show)
If you are not involved with the planning of campaigns of this size, let me explain a few things to you.
-this is the second campaign we have released, and we are still working out numbers.
-what happens if 15 newbs join the 109s, instead of JG4 members? Is there a difference in that outcome?
-if 20 109s can attack the bigwing, crash or die, then respawn and attack again, is that even numbers?
-escorts get one chance to defend, attackers can respawn and engage a second time. is that still 20 vs. 20?
These missions are not necessarily designed to be even. The advantage will often go to the bombers, to help maximize the potential for a massive conflict. What good would it do if we could sneak the bombers by the enemy without being spotted?
Because of the freedom we allow in these campaigns, the outcome will be hard to judge.
Skylon, if you are not going to join us, because it's not set up as 20 vs. 20, then these campaigns are not for you.
These campaigns are designed for teamwork, and leaving early is a terrible way to let your team down.
Most people are having a lot of fun with this, so we are going to keep up the good work.

Wow. That was a great night! well worth being in trouble with the wife for (supposed to of gone to her sisters for a family meal hehe)
whens the next one?
Right.. I've to clean the house tip to toe in my boxer shorts now, her majesty wants lunch too...
also, how do you guys record tracks through the game? I've tried before but it records as a file I can't find a program for?
"Always treat your kite like you treat your woman... Climb inside her five times a day and take her to heaven and back..."
i7 4790k o/c 4.7ghz, water cooled, 16gb Veng pro 2400mhz ram, MSI GTX980ti, 250gb SSD, X-55 H.O.T.A.S, Thrustmaster Warthog, Combat Rudder pedals, TrackIR5, GHD Hair straightners, Quite a nice kettle.
Ah! also.. I don't know if you have heard from others.. but over the target area things started to go a bit crazy with the graphics, our gun sights kept disappearing and frame rates dropped like crazy!

I can explain this.
The destruction of fuel storage is programmed into the map.
During testing, we realized the the lag produced from the smoke was just too great, so we put the targets away from these containers.
These fuel containers were not part of Bravo or Alpha target, and they weren't suppose to go up. A stray bomb must have bounced into that zone causing the plume. Or someone thought it was a target.
We will be adjusting this for the future.
Sorry about that.
it was a small glitch Drock on a really well organised night. You guys did amazing, thank you.

Not at all Zim...if that screenie taken from the .trk file (like I know it was) then it will possibly, only show the available aircraft in the vicinity (or perhaps airbourne?) rather than all in the server, me thinks.
We had 8 dedicated to hitting the Blennie`s with 9./JG52`s 109`s engaging the escorts, no one left from my flight until mission end (thx Randale, Riff and Groove) and Berserker can confirm his flight`s status from within the second element.
I was in contact with 9./JG52 Meyer until mission end, unsure of their numbers but I need to take this opportunity to thank them on a job well done. Meyer`s professional mannerism serves his staffel well and that we hold 9./JG52, as with all organized squads within the community, in the highest regard. S!
All your contrail are belong to us...unless your in a IIa, then not so much
Many thanks to Zim, and DRock and any others who set this up.
It was my first group flight, and i enjoyed the evening, even though i flew high and ended up not being involved in any combat.
Since i always fly solo, and have been PK'd several times, i'm always leary now and try to fly at altitude and check my six so i can stay alive.
Next time though, I'm going to just get in there and mix it up.
Just a quick apology to my flight mates as i was tardy returning to the base after he first sweep, and kept everyone waiting on the tarmac.
I was ignorant to the way things work and so took my time RTB.
Thanks for your patience!
I'll enjoy watching the vids from this mission, and look forward to the next one.
"If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down"......
I think we hit the balance point pretty good. It came down to 1 Blenheim being able to take out the last bridge. 1. If Torian had not made it over, after the rest of us were out of ordinance, no victory would've happened. It was a nail biter the second time over target. Blue had some empty slots available, and had they been filled the outcome could have been very different. I think everyone did their jobs to a 'T', both veteran and "noob", red and blue. Nice work fellas!
