    Tweak Force Feedback

    S! All
A post on tweaking your force feedback settings to get them as you want them.
As always, save your current .ffe files and swap back if some/any/all of the changes don't work for you.

    The Reasoning
Set up your joystick to react the way you want within IL2

    The Method
    Save original .ffe files
Edit the .ffe files to get the force feedback you want from your joystick.

    Requirements
    A force feedback joystick
    Fedit utility

    Downloads
    Fedit http://www.aces-high.gr/downloads/ForceEdit.zip

    How To
Download and install fedit into a folder on your PC
Go to CoD within Steam folder and then to Parts > Core > FF
    Save your current .ffe files
Open each of the files with fedit and right click on the name of the file within the window that appears.
    Choose properties
Press play while holding your joystick to feel the feedback.
Tweak settings as you see fit to alter intensity and longevity of the feedback
    Save the file.

    Re: Tweak Force Feedback

The best "tweak" for FF could be done in the code of the CFS games (not only CloD):

Unlink the Cannon.ffe to fire button, because this files is used too for stall effects.
And the stick shack when fire guns is "gamey" and disrupts the aim.

If you tuned down the guns "recoil" on stick, are tuned down too the stall warning...

does anyone know how to unlink the Cannon.ffe from the Fire button?
    (maybe I understood 1lokos wrong, but.. )

An answer would be much appreciated - THX in advance!

It's funny I could never get my FFB2 to work properly in CFS 3.. or FSX for that matter.. ever. I will have to give this a try in CoD.

    Re: Tweak Force Feedback

    Hi,

I tried tweaking the FF as explained above, but changing the ;ffe files does nothing new ingame, the ffb effects stay exactly the same.
May that be caused by the TF mod?
    (I fly with a FFB2 and X52 throttle).

Thanks in advance if you know something ^^

at first COD try, I can only feel canon and gun.
Then I found this thread, and use Fedit try only spring twice, since I'v already known gun and canon FF on my FFB2 work, so I test only spring, which I don't know what it is.
Now, I can only feel spring recenter, no gun and no canon and no air flow FF.
    My question is
How to Unlink or link specific FF ? with Fedit ?
    Thanks
