In the past, aggressive Australian patrols have caused the enemy great embarrassment by unremittingly harassing his line of communications, destroying his dumps, and generally indulging in a "spot of bastardry." – Notes for Platoon & Section Leaders distributed to Allied Land Forces in SouthWest Pacific Area-Operations 1943.

Thanks for sharing this Phil, I haven't been able to invest in this yet so it's good to see how it's developing.

Ok second vid;
thanks for the heads up,I see what you mean about the voices .
If anyone is running a Warthog, check this fix out (under the Controls heading). Worked like a charm!

Just had a major panic downloading the patch. Left PC on last night with a task to switch it off at 4am, 2hrs after download supposed to finish. Switched on this morning, I can't connect to the internet, and the download is "stalled". Restart PC, still can't connect. Had to reset my blooming IP address for some bizarre reason. And the download STILL isn't finished. Man I have crap internetz.
Damn those Vaanduls! Where the hell is the "Death Blossom" button???????????

I managed to get it all sorted, and launched to the point I could get into the cockpit. I have a 325, but the dialogue for the mission (I didn't launch it) talked about a hornet? Do we not even get to fly our own ships yet?
Warthog Fix - how to do it
I've got a 315p and I got to fly a 300i. I think they give you a loan of the one closest to your ship. In the budget hanger I only had two ships, my 315p and the 300i.
Lovely looking visuals and models but I was hoping for more of a feeling I was piloting a space craft. But still very early days!

Just pasting this text here cos I feel I'm going to need it quite a bit over next few weeksl;
pp_rebindkeys C:\Hotas\layout_hotas_warthog
I just managed to bind my rudder pedals to yaw!
Inserted
in the "spaceship_movement" section of the .xml file<action name="v_yaw">
<rebind device="joystick" input="js3_rotx" />
</action>
I have a set of old analogue pedals running through a Bodnar board!
Was trying for hours to get the right identifier without luck. Thanks to Captain_Sternn over at the RSI site for giving me the key - though he was setting roll to pedals - why the hell would you want that??????????

It should do, You can get the id of the controller by going to the "game controllers" in control panel. If the pedals are the third in the list that js3. In control panel my rudder input is "X Rotation". The others are labeled "X Axis", "Y Axis" and "Z Axis"
Would be worth trying!

ok.. there is nothing called "game controllers" under my control panel.
The devices section does not appear to list the control surface ID codes...
Sorry,
Control Panel -> vew Devices and Printers then right click on one of your game controllers and select game controller settings.
OR
click on the windows icon and in the search bar type game control, then choose setup a USB game controller from the list.
I'm playing around trying to get it to work on one of my other axis at the moment. Will report back if I have any success!
Cheers!

Phil,
If axis is named "Axis X" use "input=js3_x"
or if axis is named "Axis Y" use "input=js3_y"
or if axis is named "Axis Z" use "input=js3_z"
I'm not sure if it is possible to invert the axis if it's going the wrong way. Luckily mines looks Ok.
Cheers!

ok, did you also delete the existing yaw settings out, (left Left/ Right ones)? Or did you just add the JS3 as a new one in addition to the others?
I left mine in but I expect they could delete them if you wanted.

Damn, for the life of me I cannot work this out.
I've tried all sorts of combinations of
input=js3_z
input=js3_axisz
input=js3_rotationz
input=js3_rotz
Nowhere in windows can I find what the PC is calling that axis on my pedals...here's what I can see;

____>> IGNORE the above - i've got it working now;
<action name="v_yaw">
<rebind device="joystick" input="js3_rotz" />
works!
