Thanks but that's a BoB skin - there were no yellow tactical marking during May 1940 as far as I know. There was white under the wing tips but I do not know when that started.

It is working well in CoD

It is difficult to say finally. From my point of view they used several skins at this time.

The yellow one (see above) belongs to Bf 109E JG3 (Y9+) Gunther Lutzow France 1940

Further skins (like below) were also used by the JG3 (here Bf-109E3-3.JG3-(Y4+)-Helmut-Rau-France-1940)

It seems it is on you now what kind of skin you prefer finally

I'll do my best to remember to look through my books today when I get home from work. I'll even set a reminder in my phone. I have the following two that could provide some photographs for the time period you're looking for:

This book doesn't have any color photos/profiles but it does contain quite a few good descriptions of their paint schemes and when they changed them or how they personalized a lot of the mottling. There is quite a bit of information, if you can give me some specific questions you have, I would be happy to help post them up here.

According to my book referenced above, the painting of yellow (possibly white in the beginning) wing tips and engine cowlings started in August of 1940.

In Early 1940 the Gruppe adapted the standard RLM scheme by over spraying the sides pale blue. I'll try and get some scans of the pages this week.
