FOV +/- question

I wondered if anyone knew if its possible to change the rate/speed at which the view zooms in / out when using the FOV +/- function?

Hi Hardegen, it should be there afaik. Make sure you're looking in the documents folder not the steam one. If it's not there just search for [MOD] or the extendedclouds entry and add it below. Hopefully this will work!. Another idea might be to rebind the + - keys in options and exit the game. See if that adds an entry to the ini file...?

Strange...both me and one another of my team mates can't find it in the documents folder...I'll try what you have suggested about rebind the + - keys in options if it makes some difference.

I've tried but with no luck...still the section of the code you mentioned doesn't appear...Could you please post your confUser.ini file so I can check in which section the code you mentioned is placed due to the fact that I suppose that it should be added at least here... Thank you!

No problem, but it will be in the evening as I'm away from my home computer now.

Just copy and paste it into your confuser.ini file, then save it. The [MOD] section is not there by default, it must be manually added. You will notice the clouds extend to a further distance and won't "pop up" as noticeably now, too.

Don't copy the whole thing! you might end up screwing your config in multiple ways, e.g. axis settings and windows etc.

Don't forget you can also dedicate a key in 'Camera' for Field of View 30...70...or 90...This enables quick zoom if for any reason you maybe in a hurry to know what that dot is

I've made the necessary modifications to the .ini file and it worked has a charm!
Just one point...values can be set above 10 for faster movements.
For example I've set mine to 20 obtaining the camera speed that I was searching for!

Interesting, thanks for letting us know! I found that zoom speed changes with FPS as well. With 120 fps it's too fast on "7". With 60 fps it's perfect for me on the same setting.

I agree with you.
Actually I've set 20 as value but I need still to test under all the circumstances that could happen during a sorties.
In particular I have still to test what is the maximum value that you can set...in addition I've noted during the first tests that more you increase the camera speed more the camera can be set with less precision between the maximum and minimum zoom point.
Let's say just as example to render the idea that with a value of 7 your camera moves in steps of 4-5 mm per click with 20 it moves 2-3 cm per click.
