    Graphics cfg technical support

In this setting, this will help with users in ultra settings to help with LOD distance blurriness. it also helps out the High setting user as well.

change the values in this. to what I have set. Gama=0.79000 this is located in the Startup.cfg file.

    *:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg

    cfgfile.jpg

please use notepad++ it will help you by the numbers indicating where to make the changes. http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

follow these steps and you will be golden.

*you might have to do this every time when there is an update.

    Re: Graphics cfg technical support

this terrain ini file will also help with the shimmering issues some people experience,

place this in your I:\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics folder and it should help with distance shimmering. if you dont use NVIDIA inspector which I dont because it causes me to crash.

    1yr + 2 days later....

    For BOS/BOM/BOK/etc

Is this terrain cfg still valid?

Anyone using JGSME with boX? where/how do we do that?

Reshade... whats with that these days, how do we get that? Use with JGSME?

Just some Q's... ought to be in this thread I think. For anyone looking, as I am now. And I'm lazy lol..

    Hail Freya

As far as i know the terrain "mod" no longer works but isnt really needed anymore. X4 Terrain Detail doesn't effectively the same ting. NVidia Inspector's Sparse Grid super sample fix for shimmering potatoes fields doesnt either (but again its not needed like it was)

Not used JGSME or OVGME for BOX but I may well have a play tonight what with a big update coming that may wipe some unofficial missions etc stuff.

Reshade just works - load it up select the target root direcectory, select the DX10plus dll and off you go

    Re: Graphics cfg technical support

Hi Freya, i don't think the cfg thing works anymore or is needed. I do know that with the next update we'll be getting some significant reworking of at least the Stalingrad map and the landscape view distances.

    Get reshade from here

    Re: Graphics cfg technical support

I'm not sure how much benefit Reshade brings to BOX. Things like AA and moire are already pretty well sorted. With the exception of perhaps a little colour tweak or simply a vibrancy tweak I haven't found anything else Id spend the effort on.

But then I don't like my games looking like they've been had at by the guy who did the colour section of the Wizard of Oz.

    Each to their own.

    Re: Graphics cfg technical support

So far a bit of vibrance and sharpening seems to be adding just the right touch of good (less is more kind of thing), but I havent played around too much yet. Just now discovered a PWCG for this sim. Oh. My. I loved that one for RoF, might dig into this. Will wait for this update you speak of though, before I go to far with things..

Do yourself a favour and search for Gambit 21s "Pelicans" missions. You'll need the JU52 but DAMN its atmospheric!

Its just a shame these never made it in to a full campaign.

If you don't feel able to commit cash to the 52 ILL buy you it and you can thank me for evermore

The Pat Wilson stuff is very good! We will see if the new all bells and whistles campaign for 3.001 matches it in terms of quality game time.

Awesome! Thanks for the offer buddeh, but I got the 52 - one of the reasons I fired up bos again actually! I'll have a sniff about for it then..
