    Re: [DRAFT] Chuck's Guide to Cliffs of Dover

    Updated the Spitfire, Hurricane and Blenheim guides to include some improvements.

    The Blenheim autopilot guide has been partially rewritten (might be completely rewritten when I find the time) and now comes with new useful features in section 11 (Bombing Tutorial) like the "Autopilot Operation Table", the "Bombsight Operation Table" and the "Bomber Boy's Numpad" to help you know what control I map to which key without making it too difficult to remember.

    These changes were made so german bombing tutorials are easier to understand as well.

    Chuck,

    A little detail, the Flea datasheet is outdated - based on release/early patchs version - about Blenheim mixture lever.

    The mixture lever are not interlocked with engines throttles - like is in DH-82, Spit I.

    On release version Lutier try "sold" a generic CEM system for all planes.

    Re: [DRAFT] Chuck's Guide to Cliffs of Dover

    Progress is coming along nicely. The axis bomber guides (He-111H-2, Ju-88A-1 and BR.20M) are gonna be quite interesting... the more I read about it the more I realize how little most of us know about these intricate and fascinating machines.

    Re: [DRAFT] Chuck's Guide to Cliffs of Dover

    Errr...

    On Spitfire page 18, advise the user to map keys or joystick/HOTAS buttons for Directional Gyro and Course Setter Increase/Decrease because will be need adjust them in flight, and is very awkward use mouse click in this situation - is fine for adjust in ground, before start.

    Re: [DRAFT] Chuck's Guide to Cliffs of Dover

    @Sokol

    Any user is bound to realize this by himself eventually. Personally, I have absolutely no issue to click on the course setter/gyro during flight. I can't spoonfeed every obvious detail... or else each guide is gonna be 80 pages long instead of 40 (and they're already getting long enough as it is).

    Re: [DRAFT] Chuck's Guide to Cliffs of Dover

    Chuck, fabulous work!

    Some comments to the Spittie guide (only one I have looked through):

    p. 9: Better two columns for readability. Also goes for other pages with text all the way across (p.20 etc).

    p. 10 and on: Better do the pictures with cockpit in full sunlight, so there is some contrast in the images. Otherwise it will print out quite illlegibly. Like on p. 14. (Goes for later pages too)

    p. 17 needs a headline.

    p. 22-23: Chat messages are confusing. Perhaps move text box to the right?

    p. 24: "Luftwaffe aircraft" -> Axis aircraft.

    p. 35: Exact same data for Mk. I and II. Error? - If not, better to just do one table for both planes.

    Hope this helps, cheers!

    Duly noted, I'll see if I can't correct these once I'm done with the others.

    About p 35: There is not a whole lot of difference between the Ia and the IIa in terms of performance. The II is about 10 mph slower at lower altitudes, but faster in higher altitudes. Overall it's pretty much the same airframe with a different engine and a slightly different cockpit layout.

    Bf.109 guide is up. I'd like to get some input from the 109 drivers to see if what I wrote makes sense or not.

    Chuck,

    as with all your other work on flight sim info and guides, (which I have printed, laminated and living in separate flight sim folders!) these are a work of art. Thanks for all the time, effort, love and devotion put into them, oh and thanks for sharing too!
