Contemplating DCS purchase of Korean War campaign

I am thinking on getting my first DCS plane from the DCS summer sale. I am thinking of either the Mig-15 or the F86. I am very interested in getting involved is some sort of Korean War campaign. Is anyone involved in any of these campaigns that could give feedback on which plane would be most needed to balance out the sides?

    Thanks!

Re: Contemplating DCS purchase of Korean War campaign

I had the same choice and today I bought the F-86 purely because I prefer to fly UK or US aircraft and prefer the look of the sabre. Looking to future there a quite a few USAF/RAF/RNAS aircraft that fought in Korea in development. Therefore my estimation is that in a years time Allied pilots will outnumber Chinese/North Korean pilots several fold.

So I suggest the following decision:

Do I want to fly more types of aircraft - go US/UK
Do I want to shoot at more types of aircraft - go Chinese/Korean

This is obviously just my opinion. Hopefully see you online soon.

I just got the F86 cause it looked like such a great A/C. And as it turned out, it really is. I hope to purchase the Mig 15 in the future also so i can choose a side when the korean war servers get more popular. I just have always had trouble spotting a/c with the current dcs engine. Hopefully that problem is solved with Dcs 2. I say just go the side u want. They are both apparently great planes and match up very well against each other. It puts more emphasis on pilot skill than A/C .

You can't go wrong with either, both are really good. If I had to venture a guess there are probably more people out there flying the F-86, but it has also been out longer. The only wrong decision would be not to pick up any of them

Are they aircraft that were also flown by the RANAS and RAAF, like the Hawker Sea Fury?

3 years and still not a korean campaign. I mean, two excellent warplanes released and no where to fly them. Yea, you can fly them agains modern jets but that just kills the imersion.
