Well, it turns out I have the choice of either flying with you guys or spending an evening with a hot and fierce redheaded chick...
Sorry guys. My basics instincts have spoken.
You guys have fun!

Just found out I'll be in for this, hopefully there's still spots left.
Prefer a blennie, but happy to fly whatever is needed.
Hi, sign me up. Preferably a Blennie, if you still have open spaces. Thanks. Steam name: Jerry (ZA-J).

110s will be introduced very soon, Skylon. I'm sorry if you were hoping for them on this campaign. In the future missions, we will be trading 109 slots for 110s. We are also hosting a campaign featuring the 110s. Behind the scenes, we have 8 campaigns in the works, with more to come. Featuring all of your favorite planes, and exciting match ups. New targets and objectives never used before in CoD are also being implemented and researched. Some of these campaigns are even based on actual bomber missions carried out during the Battle of Britain. The next campaign is, actually.
The next campaign isn't for another month, so now is your chance to fly with some of the largest formations ever seen in CoD.
This is going to be fun, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach.

Hi DRock,
thanks for setting this up and your answer. One question remains unanswered, why this time we have different numbers of fighter slots for blue and red.
Stuka night saw even fighter numbers, while there have been 5 more slots for Stukas but they are comparably slow against the Blenheims.
Adding that blue has only rudimentary radar compared to reds i see this setup pretty unbalanced.
Thank you.
S!
I would guess it's so reds have a slight chance of success!
This mission appears to be set up to approximate a circus type operation as carried out by the RAF over northern France from late 40, early 41 onwards.
In reality these missions often had only six bombers (it was usually a small number of bombers, but on occasion larger forces were used), escorted by up to 12 squadrons of Spitfires!
They were engaged by much smaller numbers of fighters from the Luftwaffe, in much the same way the RAF had intercepted the German raids in squadron/section strength the previous summer.
It doesn't take huge numbers of defending fighters to break up a raid if the attacking fighter cover are tied to the bombers.
Maybe I've over thought it, but this would be my reason for having less blue fighters than red.
Boy is this a long walk back.jpgSign me up please ...if there is room

Lolsav and MN pretty much nailed it. We test these maps thouroughly, and select the numbers very carefully, and thoughtfully. Obviously this can only go so far, as some things are better left out of control. Another major reason why fewer 109's are available is because of cannons. I've never seen a spit rip the wing off of anything in one burst! A well handled small bunch of 109's can have a feeding frenzy on blennies, escort or not, the cannons will rip. It'll all boil down to man behind the gun sight.
my 2...
Im having to sit this one out - so have a ball lads I hope its as much fun as stuka storm was
