Re: Serious games - the "IL-2" saga

Thanks, 1lokos. Part 1 was very enjoyable!

The English translations for p2 and p3 are, unfortunately, almost incomprehensible. Does anybody have links to a better translated version of those?
    Long Live Team Fusion.
    Long Live ATAG.
    How can I help?

It all begins and ends with Oleg Maddox.

CLIFFS OF DOVER could have been as big as the original IL-2 1946 if Oleg had been allowed to develop it properly.

Even so, what Oleg left us is an extraordinary piece of software.

It's up to us poor substitutes at TF to bring the development along to where it should have been.

From what I've seen it's looks like a typical burn out after the project.

Only saw part 1. A bit stupid, no, very stupid, that all the stuff about Il-2 Classic is illustrated with footage from Il-2:CoD.

Good to see that Oleg looks to be doing very well. He should stop smoking, though, that'll end up killing him prematurely...

Despite incorrect, your statement is nonetheless a tribute to 1946.

All the scenes when Oleg talk about the first il-2 (>7:40) are from il-2 '46 (+MOD).

The 1st part footage show a Zero and B-17's - planes that dont exist in il-2:CoD.

The 'BoB" footage is from this 2009 Barfly '46 movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MD5WTJYvqaI
