Is this the same "new" 2-axis gimbal from the Fat Mamba III? This stick looks awesome, but I can't find anything on VKB's website on the gunfighter, or gladiator.

Edit: Sorry I jumped the gun a bit, and went back and read the update. Still, I would like to know more about when we might see this coming, and when we might be able to get our hands on it!? Also, pricing would be good to know.

All this "half/confuse information" is typical of VKB history.

For now, if you dont want buy the Mamba Mk.III - the Limited Edition ending this model production, with this new CAM gimbal - what to do is await the next year
and see the real answers for your questions.

I asked about this very stick some time back....

Got this from the European based guys:

We do not plan to start any new pre-orders. The Gunfighter and the Gladiator joysticks will be produced and stocked normally and sold from the stock. I personally do not expect Gunfighter model to be in stock before September this year.

So much for Quarter 1 !

If I was doing this I'd want to know how much interest there was first off, tender the job accordingly and then negotiate the cost of production run for an appropriate amount of units.

Last thing I'd want is a load of them sitting on a shelf unsold, and the second to last thing I'd want would be to go through all the effort of getting something like this up and running and then not fully realise the profit.


Still... as long as they make them and then decide to sell me one I'm not going to chastise them. GO VKB !

In the past VKB work in this way, take pre-orders then run the production through their contractors in China, what lead to 6 or more mouths delays...

Now they are trying set a regular production, make partnership with Asia peripherals manufacturer - the Asia Games that will sold a "dumb down" version of Gladiator under other name in Europe, Latin America... - and with American retailer, the Stratojet that will sold VKB products for USA & Canada market only, besides the already existent Flightsimcontrols in Netherlands.

The issue is, VKB is a small group engineers simmer enthusiasts, no own factories and little money trying set a new quality standard in flight games joystick market...

Flightsimcontrols prediction is realistic, with luck Gladiator hit the market in June/July 2016 and as Gunfighter is a sub-product of Gladiator, September is a good guess for this model.

I cannot wait for the gladiator. I'm so tired of my cheap x52 pro. Minute adjustments just before going guns are extremely jerky. My old Logitech 3d was smoother than my x52. Can't wait for an accurate joystick again.

quick update for you.... as of yesterday from the European team:

Thanks for your email and interest in VKB products.

Gladiator joysticks are not yet produced. We are careful when open any items for ordering. We will open the ordering as soon as we know that the products are manufactured and we could predict their availability in our stock. Gladiator is the totally new product and there is high risk of further delay. My current estimation of availability of Gladiator Pro is September this year.

With regards of Gunfighter stick, I can't provide with any estimations at the moment.

My guess is Gunfighter for Christmas... maybe !

I guess as conclusion of this "incident" caused by one these VirPilov in their "Quest for the Feel Simulator".

This "Twist rudder" will use ball bearings/MaRS. And this option will cost around 20$ more.

Personally I think that is a blunder of dimensions

If I was in marked for one, (witch I was some month ago) this would be something I walk away from.
If I buy a high end stick I want it to last for a long time and have as little moving parts as possible. Twist make the thing more complex and simply do not add anything good.
Twist is good for people not having room for rudder pedals or cannot afford any, Buyers of Gunfighter have room since they want a floor mounted stick and they can afford one.

and the twist mechanism beiong incorporated into an optional stick sound like a blinder of an idea to me.

I guess this VKB representation end resulting very inconvenient, every RoF, BoS player that
