BoS On Sale. Steam or Dev site?

Like the title says - BoS is on sale 50% off on both Steam and the Dev page. Is there an advantage to get it from one or the other?

If are not difference in value (for me STEAM regional price reduce the Standard 25$ for ~19$), in their site result more practical:
new updates more fast, no need to open additional program to start the game...

If you bought bos direct buy updates direct. If bought in steam then buy in steam
