    Voice Attack query - CLOD

So trying this Voice Attack program out. Keeping it simple for starters and just want to use if for NAV with Tab, 7, 1 and Tab 7, 2 commands.

It opens Tab ok but then seems to go to step 3 and misses key 7 completely.

I have changed the timings from 0.100 all the way up to 0.500 seconds with little luck.

    Any ideas?

    Mate

I had similar problems with some other voice programs and just binned it all in the end due to false voice scans and problems with the TAB commands - macros may be a better option sp00ky ole boy.....Lew put a link to a program somewhere...

TBH i feel stupid enough talking to people no-one else can hear and whilst sitting like a chump in front of my TV - talking to my plane is step towards insanity i just didnt want to take in the end.

BTW did you get the "breadstealers" pack for this ? - its algorithms have been tweaked to better tolerate that questioning upper inflection yous lot put at the end of every sentence

    all the best mate

    BOO

Oh - and well done on your little colony's Olympic medal performance.........were all so proud of you so keep at it and one day you never know...........For now though.......theres always the commonweath games - you might get second or third in the table there...

    LOL Boo.

If you prick us do we not bleed?
If you tickle us do we not laugh?
If you poison us do we not die?
And if you wrong us shall we not revenge?

In the 1st week of the Ollympics, I was wondering where GB was, then out of nowhere in the 2nd week, the tiny strip of land full of tea drinkers came out of the blocks and surged into view. The sudden appearance of pale skin at the front of the line, starting on the blocks and shimmering on the balance beams must have damn near blinded us Aussies, forcing us to fall back and reach for the Beta blockers.

One of the guys was filling me in on the macro thing today, but it kind of defeats the purpose for me as the only attraction I had to voice was not having to touch the keyboard in the 1st place. There does seem to be some very positive experiences being relayed over TS by some of the guys flying ATAG re this program, so it must be possible to achieve the desired result somehow. Hence my thoughts that perhaps my timings were too low/high and maybe there was a setting somewhere that I wasnt tapping into correctly. I'll be honest, it took me 40 minutes to work out how to get 3 keys into a single command in the program. Damn male reluctance to read instructions! So it isnt beyond the realm of possibility that I have missed something somewhere.

I'll give it a couple more days in the hope of obtaining enlightenment, before I cast it aside like an old sock.

    cheers mate.

VoiceAttack works great, what a lot of people fail to do is the windows voice training (a few times preferably) otherwise you may well get recognition problems. I use it for loads of stuff in CLOD and ArmA 3, well almost every game tbh.

Spook, you're missing a vital step, the command line is as follows.

Home Airfield - Press Tab key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 0.2 seconds
Press 7 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 0.1 seconds
Press 2 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release

Enemy Contacts - Press Tab key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Press 7 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Press 1 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release

Remaining Objectives - Press *Your Chat Key* and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 0.1 seconds
    Quick Input, '<obj<red'
Press Enter key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Press *Your Chat Key* and hold for 0.1 seconds and release

Time Remaining - Press *Your Chat Key* and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 0.1 seconds
    Quick Input, '<tl'
Press Enter key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Press *Your Chat Key* and hold for 0.1 seconds and release

Just to show you how complex you can go, I got bored of starting the Blenheim up every time, so if I die (which is often) and need to get in the fight quick I just say "Startup Sequence" and this happens.

***Your key bindings will prob be different but the sequence applies, just change the keys***

Press Left Alt+R keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Chocks in!'
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+M keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Magnetos On.'
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+F keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+F keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 2 second
Say, 'Fuelcock One set to Inner Tank.'
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+Z keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+Z keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Say, 'Fuelcock too set to Inner Tank.'
    Pause 3 seconds
Press Left Shift+1 keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Engine One selected.'
    Pause 2 seconds
Press Left CTRL+E keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Ignition.'
    Pause 2 seconds
Press Left Shift+2 keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Engine too selected.'
    Pause 2 seconds
Press Left CTRL+E keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Ignition.'
    Pause 2 seconds
Press Left Shift+9 keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Say, 'Both engines selected.'
Press W key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 3 seconds
    Say, 'Emergency Power selected.'
    Pause 3 seconds
    Say, 'Ready for take-off.'

    Lazy or what

BTW, the 'Say' in the above is not YOU having to say anything, it's the command under 'Other > Sounds > Say something with text to speech. This just gives me verbal prompts back to know the command has fired. SiraPro is a good voice for this.

    Hope this helps mate.

Magnetos selection before start engine has no practical use - is just cosmetic in CloD (serves only for YT videos "CLoD CEM" to "scary" newcomers).

    Say, 'Magnetos On.'
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+F keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 1 second
Press Left CTRL+F keys and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
    Pause 2 second

But i believe that you have to switch magnetos off in order to rearm and refuel.

I am using VA for DCS, but don't understand how to use it for CLOD. How do I tell VA to make a profile for CLOD. Do you have CLOD profiles you can share?

    Thanks.

Whilst I dont have a profile for Clod (its never felt "right" in ww2 planes to me I guess) although have got them for some dcs planes (plus viacom), to create a new profile - open voice attack then click on the plus icon to the far right of the profile bar. Will give a an option to start a new profile (alt+N will also do it). Give it a name to get an empty profile. Then use the above templates people have made and adjust to get what you need. If you want I can try to build you basic one once have some idea which functions you want. I did make some for elite dangerous, star citizen, kerbals and dcs. But as I have seldom used them for some time I forget the word commands as easily as I forget key presses. I have never written them to use direct joystick buttons - always used the keyboard shortcuts.
Once you have an empty profile, select the profile name from list and use the edit button directly to the right of profile name bar.
Problem using someone elses commands - the command may not be intuitive and you would also still have to train VA ( and yourself) and test and it may not use the in game key presses (ie diffferent to your own) and you could spend more time trying to work out why. So I would suggest doing something simple like gear up/down commands and test it works, then slowly add to it.

I got a profile and modded it some to my way of doing things. It works quite well.
