    Interesting stuff Seas thanks.

    Shoreham.

One of those hangers up the north end on the western half of the airfield is still there.

They were supposd to be temporary.

    Temporary 1940's style....!

    This is pretty interesting

The "Ordanace Data Sheets" tab is well worth a click through as ius the "UXO information Sheets" tab.

    Re: UXO Survey news

There were some raids on Grantham.

One on 27th January 1941 by a lone Ju 88 mostly missed the munitions factories it was aiming for and hit civilian housing. 1 killed, 40 injured. There is a memorial in town.

One of the bombs was UXB but has of course has long gone.

    Interesting site though Seas.

    Thanks for posting mate.

    Re: UXO Survey news

    Interesting thread.

There have been at least two of these in Coventry in the last decade or so. One was found around the Belgrade Theatre in 2008.

    http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-centre-brought-standstill-3100499

And the more recent in 2015 on the site of Coventry University.

    https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...-wwii-10104559

There's also a crater from a bomb behind the church in the village I grew up in dropped by the returning bombers after the Coventry Blitz. We used to sledge down it on bin liners when we were kids.

I often wonder if there is one under my house
