Hello! Newbie here and just downloaded CLoD

I'm honestly really surprised by how it looks and feels (played GB for about a year or so now, and the experience feels totally different) and is also hoping to better know this sim!

Welcome to the fun!

Indeed GB and CloD feel very different, some enjoy both, some prefer one of them.
For Cliffs there are no 'mods', there are just the official versions of 'Blitz' and 'Tobruk' both of which receive regular updates via Stream.

I think some additional missions, campaigns and skins are availabe here.

Anyway, where Cliffs really shines is Online. Especially now, since there are more or less regular events with considerable numbers of players.
And there is nothing better to flatten the learning curve (here each plane is really different) than to hook up with someone to show you the ropes.

Hi Makima, Mop2, Original Nutta and UmpireAbect........Happy new Year and welcome to Cliffs of Dover. It's great to see you are enjoying this fantastic sim. If you have any problems....questions ...or queries....do post about them on the Forum. We have a wealth of knowledge amongst our members who love to help out. No question is 'too silly.' We recognise that we all had to start sometime and, no doubt, pondered over the same questions you may wish to ask. So, fire away.....

Mop....I'm sure I saw you on Team Speak the other day but couldn't get a response from you. You were most likely away from you mic and soing something very useful.....unlike me! I will look out for you again.

Original Nutta...I think one or two people might take issue with your name because we have dozens and dozens of 'nutters' in our Community! In fact, we are all 'professional nutters' to one degree or another. Chiefly about aviation but occasionally other issues and subjects creep in...Eg, music....guitars.....ships....terrible jokes....motor bikes.....doughnuts! The list is endless. (Oh, and because many of us have reached 'a certain age' a lot of us wear glasses, too!)

So if you consider yourself a 'nutter,' be reassured you are amongst 'friends!' Good to have you here, Chaps. Come and join us on Multiplayer.......that's where the real fun (and learning!) takes place. Salute!
