Hello,
I have come back after a few years. I started with the original IL2, 1946, Forgotten Battles, Pacific Fighters ... and now I am hooked again after updating my PC. I have finished the campaign and now I am looking for more, maybe if I train hard I can get to play online
Cheers,
Me too!
um, thank you very much, now I know.

Hello everyone,
I just got CLoD after being into the IL2 BOx series and really enjoy the map and the available planes.
Obviously the FM is not as accurate as IL2 or DCS but nevertheless fun to fly.
I'm having some issues to map keys to my HOTAS (TM16000M +TWCS) as the whole setup is not as intuitive as in DCS or even in IL2.
I would appreciate any help if there is any guidance how to add or modify the keys for HOTAS.

Greetings & Felicitations!
Hello All,
Returning to flying in Cliffs of Dover after a few years, before the Blitz edition. I am finding it as enjoyable as when I first started in 13. Also use to occasionally fly on the server. I found this site years ago and really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately real life requirements take precedence so my time is very limited now.
Great site and great people, thanks for site.

Greetings from sweden.
Here we go again after some years of absence.
Lots of news and many flaws fixed apparently.
Looking for single missions, hope that is feasible under Steam.

Ok. I am newbie but thank you for your work and keep this server running
Hello. I've only recently started playing with Cliffs of Dover and am enjoying the varied engine management requirements depending on the plane and what propeller is used. I do find the landings are much more forgiving than they were in IL-2 1946.
Hello Dawson and welcome to CLoD . Nice to see another new guy joining our merry band .

Hi Dawson.....as Knighty says above...it's great to have you here and to know you are enjoying CLoD! Do feel free to join us in Multiplayer, on the Axis and Allies server in the evenings (BST) because that's where this sim really shines. We use Team Speak to chat and cooperate together in the air. It's a free download and if I can set it up...well, anyone can!
That invite goes for all the chaps on this thread....get onto Axis and Allies and join the fun. You will find yourself flying alongside very like minded friends because we are all into aviation history here...in particular the Battle of Britain period....and nothing handles that as well as CLoD! Just download Team Speak and say 'hello.' All your questions can be answered in double quick time and the fun and fascination doubles by the minute.
We hope to see you in our CLoD skies very soon. Good luck and .....Salute!
Knight and Marlow, thanks for the greeting. It may be a while before I can try multiplayer as my PC's spec are below the recommended minimum (i3 4th gen CPU). Flying on my own and practising take-offs and landings works great but it starts to slow down when I add other planes. I hope join in the future though.
Super cool site!
Posting to download some files. Looking forward to seeing you all on the servers very soon.
Thank you

Love your nickname! I may be a bit biased, though.

My ride yesterday with my buddy, Maddog. Took awhile to find an open patio to have a soda pop on a hot day!

Hi everyone,
I just registered and need to post to download files. As a person, I'm certainly not "new", but I am to flight sims. I recently got a T.16000M with TWCS and rudder pedals and have been practising flying around, and takeoffs and landings, but my aiming is still pretty poor. I have ROF and IL2 BoX. Somebody online said CloD is about as newbie friendly as juggling chainsaws. Is that right?
Hi drfever and welcome to the forum.
Hope you got the file downloads you were looking for. Yes, Cliffs of Dover is challenging but I think you will find the transition from BoX (another excellent sim) quite enjoyable and rewarding. Please feel free to come back here often and don't hesitate to ask any questions that come to mind. We're here to help!
