    ReShade 3.0 Post-Processing Injector Tutorial

    Some might have seen the video of Philstyle showing and explaining ReShade 2.0. Well there's a new version in town now and it's a lot different from its predecessor so I thought I'd make a tutorial for it:

    After I do Shift/F2, I get the menu screen but my mouse cursor does not work with the menu. There is another cursor on the menu, but it doesn't move. What am I doing wrong?

    Never mind. the second time I tried it, it worked fine.

    I'm running trying this on win7 and had to install the "evil" update KB2670838 in order to get this to work. But now I get a weird Cliffs menu corruption there. Any idea what's going on?

    And now also the game (in-cockpit)is sometimes corrupted... ? :/

    Havent tested this on Win7, only Win10 where it's working just fine. But yes, in order to run ReShade on Win7 you need the "evil update" which causes all kinds of other issues. I recommend using ReShade only on Win8 & 10 for that reason.

    Hmm... what I really want is an optimized FXAA shader in DX10 on Win 7 - like reshade 3 has. it works pretty well, when it works....

    EDIT: Turns out I can do just that with one of the old official versions: "SweetFX 1.5u Boulotaur2024's Injector with CeeJayDK's 1.5.1 shaders and more." All works great now

    You better get me sorted with that then Badger ole chum, i installed Reshade 3.0 and followed Karaya tutorial, set it up in single player then jumped on ATAG only to be getting timed out about 30 secs after spawning into the mission, i made a few adjustments but to no avail. Does what we do in our Nvidia CP affect what Reshade does ?

    Ola hombre!

    NvidiaCP - as far as antialiasing, that shouldn't make a difference! Which win are you running again? If it's win7 here's my sweetfx + settings: sweetfx backup.zip

    This will only work on Win 7 64 bit, make sure you have KB 2670838 UNINSTALLED though. Default on/off switch is scroll lock. I've used FXAA and some tonemaps + sharpening + vibrance. Very subtle change but clears the image nicely.

    If it's win8 or win10 then you can use reshade 3.0 but I'm not sure about why it would timeout though.

    Can anyone tell me how to add an effect back in after un-checking all the effects boxes and selecting the ones suggested, i was sure i ticked FXAA unless i did and there is some kind of conflict that keeps timing me out of the mission

    Unfortunately Reshade 3.1.2. also crashes game in multiplayer (TWC server).
    So I give up

    Only in MP? It doesn’t crash for me at all. Have you done the move dll to parts folder thing mentioned in the thread?

    Yes, I moved dxgi.dll and dxgi.ini files to parts/core folder, clean cache folder etc.
    Game crash when I want to change plane at airfield.
    Only in MP.

    I have loaded reshade 3.1.2, I used it before but had crashes. If I remember correctly reshade did not like TS notifer and that may cause some issues. If you are having crashes try removing TS notifier(if you use it) to see if that resolves issues

    You point the installer at the Launcher.exe in the main game folder. After that you move the dxgi.dll and dxgi.ini into the parts/core/ folder.

    do a clean download from the reshade.me site, then run reshade setup.exe point at launcher.exe and select DX version. I used direct 3d 10. then select shader effects you want to use. copy and paste the dxgi.dll and dxgi.ini from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz and paste into the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz\parts\core folder as karaya says (change drive letter if different on your pC),

    I initially used the Shader profile originally posted by Karaya, but did not edit the dxgi correectly and they pointed to Karaya's drives

    I hope this helps and doesn't cause any confusion

    I loaded 3.1.2 about a week ago, all is good so far
