in mission navigation to target change

hello
i just played my first BOB mission and i have the following questions

while on patrol we get ordered to change course and head to the enemy,whoever i cannot see the compass which is below the joystick, is there a key which opens up the display of height speed and heading usually positioned to the left bottom of the screen in IL2 ? since i could'nt follow orders i decided to follow the squadron to target .i didnt find anything in keys .

No, no "modern digital HUD" a la IL-2:46.

You need learn read instruments on panel.Read this:

The British P-8 compass is not practical to be used for navigate, unless use the Course Setter. Is more usefull for re-calibrate DG.
