9./ZG26 Recruitment Thread.

Graf we'd be thrilled to have you. Many of our pilots are "time restricted" as am I. That just put greater emphasis on our scheduling and campaigns. We have two training days a week and when a campaign is running that is once a week. None are mandatory and if you have to go on leave we even have a section where you post your LOA and we will see you when you come back.

One gentlemen we have is a crane operator and is gone two weeks at a time. Another is sometimes summoned out of the country for work for 15-30 days a time. Our former leader Eicken is crazy busy with school and OJT but has recently rejoined us because of our camaraderie and we are easygoing on the absences.

We all get together when we can and have an absolute blast. I would say there are 4-6 consistent guys so there is usually always someone on and flying. Hell last week we all just happened to be on TS playing other games but just bs'ing with one another when we decided to have an impromptu flight in ATAG. I think there were 8 of us present with a 109 from our sister group 5./JG27 and we had a ball.

Think it over. You know where to find us. Even if you don't join please come fly with us sometime. Today is a training day and it starts 1200 EST or 1700 GMT.

9./ZG26 merged together with 5./JG27 to become LG.1, a multipurpose squadron for COD!

Today we flew the BF110 in a ground attack sortie in our multi-squadron campaign, wunderpigs attack!

9./ZG26 has merged with 5./JG27 to become LG.1. After our many years of close cooperation we decided to merge into one unit combining our strengths into one multi role unit. We now require our pilots to be trained in at least three airframes to provide the greatest flexibility to meet the changing demands of each mission. It is our intent to be able to field a sizeable integrated strike force of homogenous units. We fly, fight, and train together making the complex task of mission planning, coordinated escort, and strike package as seamless and efficient as a single unit.

I have spent quite some time of my precious sparetime with these guys, I can only recommend it. It is a fine unit mostly available on TS open for question or a flight. Quite often playing ARMA 3 and other stuff if that is an option.
We like to fly in a proper way, do it by the book, do teamwork and make our goals. But in the same time have some fun
