Can someone explain spawns and what a spawn area is for ?

    creating airfields.

    2. Safe spawn chains (none down cliffs, or in the long grass). You will still need to add a "spawn area"

What is a spawn area and why do we need it ?

So players can spawn in at that airfield.

Thanks, I am unfamiliar with term spawn, I reckon its for duplicating, cloning etc aircraft, so if one wishes to place parked aircraft on an airfield, one is 'spawning them'.
They need to have their locations dictated so the spawn points and directions he creates are these, though the sim then ignores them and uses the hard coded ones !

Then if one creates a FMB waypoint starting at that airfield, and chooses 3 flights, each of 3 aircraft, you would need to have first of all created 9 spawn points. all with direction lines and all leading to that 0 point. if they are to be located all around the airfield perimeter then it could look a bit messy. The grey default spawn points are confusing but necessary I guess.
