57 years young and I have been playing flight sims for many many years. I was in Rise of flight as the last one.

I have looked around (and probably just missed it)

If I already have COD can I still use my copy and update or do I have to re-purchaes again on steam?

Your copy will do. You just need to install TF updates.

As others have mentioned, just install from your discs, and STEAM will take over the updates to the basic game.

Then follow the 'Beginners' thread on this same forum for the details of getting the TF patch up and running. You can find it here:

Thanks for the welcome from everyone ..... Seems there were not many servers running with the HE111 so I need to get to work on getting off the ground in the other German bombers.

I did see a few videos that I plan to watch and see what I can gather from those.

So many things to program on my Stick and trying to remember what each one does...

Anyway ... I will be up there in a few days after I get some practice.

Anyone have a single player mission that just has the bombers on an airfield? I could use one to get a lot more practice time in?

If you have DVD version, don't need use the disc.

Install STEAM (if not installed), log in your STEAM account (or create a new) then click in

+ ADD A GAME...

Activate a product on STEAM

And in next screens enter the serial number of DVD box.

STEAM do the needed install.

After set "BETA" for CloD and STEAM install Team Fusion patches.

I believe every mission on the ATAG server has both versions of the 111, they just may not be at every airfield where the 88 is located.

For quick training, go to quick missions, cross county (blenheim pic) change aircraft to any you want. Mission is a full fuel takeoiff, you can click the down arrow to add bombs if you have a saved loadout (saved while in mp server). Adding bombs will up the difficulty as it is not a very long runway.

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve too...

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!
