I'll start with some awesome big-band jazz:
I like Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Ledzeppelin . well this Metallica songs pretty much sums up what I like
When I think of music I have so many I love from rock, pop, ska, soul, classical, Beatles and blues to name but a few...but if I were to pick just one then it would have to be Beethoven...and for me one of his best...Emporer 2nd movement...I get goose bumps every time...
We were married to this...

Music is always a fun topic to delve into.
Here's a link to a thread i started here a few years ago.
I'm digging it up again because i enjoyed all of the responses that came in then and figure some might enjoy having a listen to them.

A great variety.....
"If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down"......
That snooker song by Chas 'n Dave is pretty catchy. Also it has to a certain extent an educational value which I find is aways a tremendous bonus when I'm "letting my hair down".
Oh and pretty much anything by Black Lace.

Yes Ohms; Mike Oldfield is great!
Listen to the music, and look at those nice girls.
. amused - perplexed - baffled - bewildered - bemused by various renditions of this tune for more than forty years... this modern live performance is satisfying!

This is a brilliant thread! I've listened to all the tracks posted and gone 'down memory lane' as well as found some great new stuff! Thanks for sharing.
I've just GOT to choose this track from Deep Purple's Machine Head Album. It's the track that got me playing guitar.
I saw Deep Purple at The Winterbourne Gardens in 1972....my first live concert. Me and my mates snuck into the bar and had a quick underage pint of 'lager and lime' after the support act (Nazareth...remember them?) and then......watched in awe, as the Man himself.......Ritchie Blackmore, came on stage and blew us away with 'Highway Star,' Smoke on the Water and this track 'Lazy!' Happy memories!

Gary Moore used to live in my sister's house in Hurley, Berks. (She wasn't there at the time, I hasten to add!) When he left I searched the house and found loads of plectrums (unfortunately no Gibson's!) and a song book with lyrics, which I still have. I really ought to see if any of the lyrics found their way onto an album. I still have the song book. Gary was a genius! A great guitarist! I loved his work with Lizzie. Here he is back in his Lizzie days: 'Out in the Fields.'

And finally...because I love twin harmony guitar.....Wishbone Ash: 'Argus.' Sheer genius! My wife and I used to snog on the settee to this back in 1975! HAPPY MEMORIES! Yeeees!
