Well, I really think you need somebody else also...
And now for some training in the Hurri.
I start to like this old bent and buckled thing better and better.
One Blennie driver reporting for duty!

AWESOME IM IN. Also about an hour before opps I'd like to offer what I know about flying the blennie to any new bomber pilots. Just the basics nothing fancy. In very much a low level off the deck flyer. I can offer engine settings for max performance and load outs. My focus is skip bombing ships and low level tree top hight of airfields

pick a BIG target, forget everything you might know about IAS/TAS, divide by six and hit the button.

Just a bit more on things and stuff.
Whilst the last event was fun I suspect some of the RAF fighters had more of it than us poor bombers. Leading you all into the jaws of death on the first mission was, in hindsight, not exactly what I had in mind.
We are doing a lot of work to give the Blennies the best chance of at least making it to the target this time. We are developing at least one plan for each server mission so there will be less of a "ok-where?" nature to the next get together.
BLENHEIMS
If you are thinking of flying a bomber on the night I urge you to get a few hours in it and make sure you can:
- Start and roll out quickly
- Manage the engines in a climb and at altitude
- Adjust the Alt, Speed and Slip on the Bombsight
- Understand and use the auto pilot and adjust course using the Directional Giro adjustment
As before we cannot say for definite what the type of bombing will be until we see the map but if it comes to level bombing we will have an experienced lead who will be able to advise us on the settings to input into the sight.
If you can set controls to use the turret, do so.
As well as taking Blenni bombers I thought it would also be fun to have a few Blenni Fighters in the mix too. If this appeals to anyone please PM me so I can put a list together. There will only be a few so if any selection is needed it will be done on experience in using it as a fighter rather than inexperience of using it as a bomber if you know what I mean.
RED FIGHTERS
If anyone wants to take an active fighter role we would welcome it. I will see if I can get a fighter channel set up if its needed. Those of you who like to fly in squads or groups are likely to be given specific duties if you are up for it. The raid really will depend on fighter co-operation so again, if you think your group or squad would like to take an active part, please PM me and we can discuss how best to employ.
BLUE FIGHTERS
Bring it on! - no quarter asked - none given. Seriously, I really hope that the blues can put on the defensive show equal to the red's last effort.
TIMINGS
We will start roistering at 1930 UTC (2030 London Time) on the "Boomers Casual" channel in the ATAG TS (at the top of the squad list). Hopefully we will be blessed with a server mission start at 2000 UTC (2100 London Time).
I Hope to see you there!!
Regards

Good Morning
Well with just over a week to the assembly ("event" is too grand a title) I'm interested to so just how many of you who use the forum are thinking of taking part as either a bomber of an actively involved RED fighter. Its only an indication for me and so there is no commitment but it would be good to know some rough numbers.
So..... - if you are thinking of flying a BLENHEIM - could you click a LIKE for this post
If you are thinking of flying a RED FIGHTER in support of the bombers (that could bee sweeps, escort, interference) - please could you click the DISLIKE button.
No need to comment or post a reply.
Cheers

Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I am just too polite to dislike a post ...
But its fighter for me.
Hey guys, I am really sorry for this.
I was just stupid, not trying to be funny.
I don't think Mezza and Drock were "disliking" the post at all just being witty themselves (perhaps even making sure it was clear who was flying fighters.
But heck - Leave poor DerDa alone fellas
Theres a post right above it that is just crying out for dislikes!!
