    P-40E (Kittyhawk IA)

As a wee lad I used to have ones of these powered by a little motor that ran on methanol.
No RC, just strings attached to a handle that would control the elevators.

Used to fly that thing for hours in the back garden getting dizzy going round in circles.
Something along these lines, man memories haha, skip to 4 mins 10 or so.

You mean 109 F-4 "Kanon(en)boot" what is about a gunboat or gunship

Couldn't find evidence for the F-4 Kanonenboot, probably special version with heavy guns...

Looks really great, thank you very much for your hard work!
I'm still very happy that this game is reliving.

Is the Martlet IIIB (F4f-3 with export engine) the same as a F4F-3a and not a F4F-3 with oil gasket problems ?

    Three cheers for Team Fusion!

Can't wait for all these goodies - I wonder how the gunpod 109F will do in a dogfight...

Add weight and an aircraft will lose climb/turn... add drag, it will lose speed.

Of course, if you are fighting bombers, which is what the 109F4/R1 was intended to do, then it doesn't matter that much.

Best of luck fellas. I hope you succeed and reach the financial goals to continue. So many possibilities.

I'd love to see your version of the early 190 and P-38. I'd LOVE to see the early P-38 in North Africa once the Americans join even with the compression issues and other teething. It would be fun and so different from everyone else currently.

I suspect this engine has barely been tapped and is far more advanced than given credit for. Could it rival DCS FM sophistication? The damage model is already better from what friends have told me. Still not installed the Normandy map. I'd rather fly Cliffs. It works.

At a later date would you guys do crowdfunding to assist in getting some of your goals reached? I have Star Citizen in mind there I guess...

That's an insane amount of work! Hope that as enthusiasm increases with 4.5 you guys will be able to have the resources to finish up with plenty of help. If time gets burned up because of quality and quantity I'm good with it.

Wow! Awesome list. Can't wait to try out the new weapons and cockpits and engines etc etc.

What about the Spit Vc with four cannons? Was there not a tropical version of that one?

Either way, this is gonna be AWESOME.

At this stage we are not including the Spit VC in TF 5.0.

The Spit VC with four cannon saw service in Tunisia in 1943 and some were flown off carriers to Malta in 1942... but on arrival in Malta the outboard cannon was removed due to the fact the extra weight was too much of a penalty to climb and maneuver. Four cannon version was not, as far as I can tell, used on the Channel Front as the outboard cannon would freeze up at high altitudes and jam. It was only used in the Med, for the primary reason it was used at low altitudes there as a ground attack specialist type... it was warmer there, and not much chance of the outboard cannon freezing at low alts. On the Channel Front most combat was at high altitude.

Roger that Buzzsaw. Always good to hear the historical side of everything. 2 cannons ought to be enough anyway!
