Confirmed, I saw it myself ;-): South of the runway, about half down.
Unfortunately it's not that uncommon for that to happen, on a few different airfields. Especially it seems, if spawned further away from the airfield.
Some kind of bug i guess Ceaser.
Sometimes blow up, sometimes just end up upside down.
"If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down"......
It is a bug in the ground definition at the respective locations and we are collecting them in the bugtracker. The more exact we know the location (e.g. screenshots) the easier we can repair them eventually.

Yeah, a "bug in the ground". :-)

Looks like it's meant to be a ditch and is supposed to be there...for whatever reason the original designer wanted. Maybe meant to make u stay very close to the runway once u venture away from the hangars. This is on quite a few airfields and unfortunately they can be very close to spawn points that are away from from the runway/hangars and yes, when u hit them they throw u up in the air, flip u over and blow u up. A bit like the spawn points that put u on the side of a hill and u just end up sliding away. Looks like some spawn points were placed and the game released b4 any1 had actually checked where the plane would end up. Usually only a problem when there is a big campaign on and nearly all the spawn points are being utilized and so the badly placed ones actually get used with the bugged result for the hapless pilot.
Back to the ditch theory tho....as many airfields were just cleared open grass fields, maybe there were actually drainage ditches at various places around the field to facilitate faster drainage after heavy rain and the original designers did their homework and actually tried to model this ?
