    Competition time

Now I know there are some serious model guys and artists among us.

BUT.... there are also some of us who are really crummy with paints and crayons....

and that's what I want to see more examples of !

Really not quite top notch model building.

    http://museumcrush.org/free-download...ain-hurricane/

I recon mine will take me about a week or two.

I will post it here when I’m done.

I've yet to decide if I'm going to use cellotape or some kind of glue. And I don’t have the right colouring felt tips either so I’m just going to use what I can find in the girls rooms. so probably end up with glitter camouflage...

Join me in a celebration of "Art"....

I will be awarding points too.... so there's an incentive eh?

    EDIT:

I see its already coloured in... which i hadnt expected....

looks like i will have to judge it on quality of glueing alone.

This thing is cool dude! I love paper airplanes. I might be in...if I finish. I also want gold stars on my shoulders if I win.

If anyone's in for a Spitty, I made one several years ago that probably needs an update (maybe some skinners out there can take advantage).

Well, it's not paper, but rather unorthodox material as well.
It all started when I had an ice cream ...

There is a rubber band turning the prop and if I ever manage to vandalise one of the old toy cars old of my son it might get an undercarriage and be able to take off from my desk.

Do you mean me? They're all done by hand with a brush. I've not got the room to have an airbrush and all that - think I'd probably enjoy it less too, don't know.

They're not really up to snuff compared to people who are really serious with all the kit but I do me best.

    Hope you did mean me...

Think I've totally misunderstood this thread, thought we were just showing off our non-serious plane making! Didn't realise there was a comp to build those paper ones. Please disregard!

When I modelled I used the spray gun in the kitchen in about a 2ft square area. As long as you aint blasting clouds and using some sensible extraction for the smelly stuff (I thin everything with smelly 2 pac stuff) its fine.

That's a nice collection and well displayed!!

Nice work High, how long did it take you?

@Aspidistra, nice wall! I think you just gave me some decorating ideas for the basement although I don't have time to build models away from the screen. Hmmm

Here you go, build time at least one minute, and it blows bubbles when it flys.

Don't know why it's upside down, but you get the idea. The book's well worth a read too.

Thanks chap. I'm just a bit hampered by being in a pretty small flat with lunatic neighbours who complain if they can smell bacon cooking! I'm happy with the brushes for now. Must give my wife credit for the display, she was breaking my neck about them all being on every available surface...

    Re: Competition time

    OK...

This one might actually fly. I think this is probably about as small as it will go if i make it out of tissue paper and cobwebs.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_s...JhcGxUdmM/view

You never know though... maybe i can get it down to half half that size... and put a motor on it.

or better still bigger.. with a bigger motor... and hang a seat under it....

    anyway...

If you have any tissue paper why not spend a few moments wasting time making a shiny new toy?
