3 months of source code ..and what's news?

Don't want to be critic but I'm starting to be very doubtful about TF TEAM skill about interpreting source code right now: Forum is almost dead about news on de-bugging this game and about new patches.
Should be "politically correct" if dev TF TEAM speak to all us supporter here if there is any chanches about really start de-bug (or not..) this game in the most relevant aspects (not just cosmetic/graphic ones). just my opinion and debate.

Re: 3 months of source code ..and what's news?

Check back next weekend, we will have a big update with photos, news, and video. Lots of things happening right now hints the lack of TFS members on the forums .... so take that little nugget and interpret it how you'd like.

3 months with a source code this complex and the advancements we've made are actually pretty impressive, especially from a small team where most the members have at least one, if not two other full time jobs. Don't worry, be happy. Everyone will know much more info soon.

oh... and I'm being called out now by the wife to pull weeds for a BBQ this weekend, so make that three other jobs.

and there is no cold beer! How people do yard work without alcohol is a mystery to me.

As one who has experienced the joy of being attacked by Fireants, 3 times in his life (twice in the pacific and once here in Aus). May I say, it is an experience, best not experienced.

Re: 3 months of source code ..and what's news?

I am sure the vast majority of us appreciate the efforts being made by all members of TFS.

It cannot be easy juggling all the many calls upon daily life and it important that we understand that.

Waiting is difficult but necessary if TF4.5 and TF5.0 are to meet everybody's expectations. I for one, as a fairly new arrival, am quite happy to wait. I also understand that many CloD pilots have been waiting a number of years and are becoming disillusioned.

A good comprehensive update will be gratefully received by us all Spiritus.

    I'm not.

Stuff takes time, and this was way way ahead of its time to start off with.

couple that with the fact that advances in every aspect of available technology since it was first written most likely mean it would be written differently if it was started today (and frankly nobody has tried anything aproaching what Cliffs was originally intended to be since)

I take the jist of your post and I understand to some degree. But I don't feel the same way at all.

I'm not worried. I'm not concerend.

Frankly even if I was... so what?

The game we have right now is EPIC in any case and that is due to two factors. (well three actually)

    1: Olex Maddox
    2: Team Fusion

you have to figure the third one out yourselves.

I understand your impatience; hell we're all keen for updates, bug fixes and new content for this game that that we all love...

But really, to expect lots of news within three months would be a big ask for a professional development studio, never mind a bunch of amateurs (albeit enthusiastic and talented ones) that also have to juggle jobs, family and the general rubbish that life throws at us all. As has been asked before, would you rather Team Fusion spend time creating lots of glossy, exciting PR and weekly updates, or would you prefer them to actually work on the game?

Another thing: How often can you reasonably expect major news that is worthy of passing on to the world? I profess to know nothing about game development and modding, but I think it very likely that an awful lot of the work is either very slow and painstaking or "behind the scenes" with little visible to see. Radio silence does not mean that they are not working and people making bold pronouncements on the forums doubting their ability is hardly going to help OR fill them with motivation. Give it a rest.

Well taking note what they did without the source code, YOU can wait like the rest of us or just move along as I doubt you will be happy anyway with what ever they produce.

Congratulations for the courage, whenever I ask they make a joke. I think it should be more transparent the way it is being done because we are a community, we are thirsty for news.
I think there should be a timetable for accompanying us and stipulating dates for each stage.

Aw c'mon GW we make fun cos when you aint too busy posting self promoting glory vids showing one side of the story or slagging off other squads or accusing Lewis of cheating cos you don't understand the laws of ping you don't ask you just post "5.0??????" and numerous emojis in chat - that aint askin mate that's just being a tool.

But I do agree a time table would be great - however I know sod all about the task being undertaken so my little timetable wish counts for nothing. Timetables and weekly updates like we see in BOS are all fine and dandy when you've had the goods from the off and the time to form a plan I guess. I wouldn't expect the same ability to commit from TFS at this stage but I'm sure there will come a time where at least some middle ground is found.

It will be there when it will be there. And I will be thankful for it, whenever it comes.

Hello, is it here where I can order my pizza?

Seriously now guys, dont you like the sim in its current state?

I have enjoyed many hours of fun and learned a lot of stuff
For me the upcoming patches are just addons, I will still enjoy the game without them,

So lets be thankful that we have a great Team working FOR US for so long now, FOR FREE and they still want to improve this game giving us great patches with many addons.

Will you guys be so impatient ?

Quick take on this...timetables and a planned out schedule would be great if Team Fusion wishes to provide it, but until you have money $$$ in the process, TF isn't required to provide that information. As it stands at this point, this is all free, no one owes you or the rest of us anything.

When money exchanges hands down the line, that is when I believe (as paying customers of a business/company) some kind of roadmap should be expected.
