Almost all modules are on sale through the DCS website:

    Hmmm....Spitfire IX.....'STEAM Incompatible'...That's me confused...

Does it mean that I simply can't buy this from STEAM...or that its pointless buying it as I already have DCS World from STEAM and this aircraft is not compatible with it?

    What gives?

It means that if you installed and use DCS through Steam then you cannot purchase the modules directly from the DCS website and install them.

If you use Steam DCS then you are pretty much limited to the modules that they have released through Steam. The Spitfire IX hasn't been released on Steam yet, only as beta release direct from Eagle Dynamics.

You can uninstall Steam DCS and reinstall the client direct from the DCS website.

    Re: DCS Summer Sale

It is due to some sort of financial issue with Steam. They are unable to interchange license keys back and forth. (I'm not sure exactly why that is, but RoF ran into the same problem.) If you have purchased any modules through Steam, only buy modules Steam. If you purchased any from the DCS website, Only buy through the website and only use the website launcher. The Steam sales and the sales on the DCS sites usually hit at different times.

Spitfire is still in alpha. Once it leaves the alpha stage, it should be available on Steam. It is usually a couple of months before a module becomes available on Steam.

It's silly and annoying, but that it is just how it works =\

They used to let you one time convert modules over, but I'm not sure if you can do that any longer.
