Hello - Flushed with a map turning success, the Boomer's have all hired agents and are touring bookshops in August selling various versions of their part in the exploits on the night of 15th July. Mines especially good and includes my personal account of single handedly taking out 3 airfields with just one bomb and a bottle or HP sauce. A bargain at only £4.99 (or 50p if you wait a month)
Anyhow.....the upshot is that I'm not planning to do anything for August - Real life August is holidays and kids and BBQs for a lot of us.. The next one will be on 16th September.
The question is what to do? Its scheduled to be a red event. I even had a title .."Blennies From Heaven"...geddit? ...........may even be some new toys by then too, you never know...
BUT
That weekend is also very close to Battle of Britain Day (15th September) so the question is....
Do we stick with Red and go try win a map OR go back to blue and look to put on one of those shows where, for a least a few minutes, we have a hundred aircraft in one bit of the map fighting for their lives and the outcome, at least for one raid, is secondary to getting a small feel of what it was like at the height of the battle?
I know not everyone plays along but usually enough do to give the second option a fighting chance. Even better if in the intervening period Somthing happens to increase bomber resilience. Better still if a few of those hurries and spits could be persuaded to go with historical loadouts and convergences just for the night.
So, up for discussion and suggestions and democracy wins.
Regards
BOO
