Was really fun!
But my mic was muted and I wasn't aware... I jumped in the flight leader of the first JG4 bomber raid but fail to report... I had disabled TS notifications... My bad!
Thanks Jos - It was enjoyable if a little one sided
From the Red perspective I think we did better the second time around with a little better organisation but 10 loosely organised Hurris and 2 Spit 1a s V double the number of largely squadded E4s was never going to give the likes of JG4, STG129 and 9/JG52 a real problem. I think we accept it was about training your new pilots but I have to wonder just how much training they got given most of us were down or out after the first minute of the engagement and some of your aces were leaving the server with individual tallies of 9 plus kills (from just the 12 of us).
You have to appreciate that many of the lads who come along to stuff like this are not aces but average joes like me. Most of us cant kill in a pass so we will nearly always fall to your guns on the second (especially given the 2-1 ratio). I also suspect that at least half of us would not have English as a first language (and as a typical Englishman I have NO other language- much to my shame) so TS coms is also limited somewhat.
We are not a drilled cohesive unit. More whacky racers than top guns. Your trainees are not the only ones who need to be cut some slack
As you have seen, you have the numbers of who turns up and that's something you cant control so some contingency on the part of the main organising squad may be required. Ultimately what did our legs wasn't BLUE numbers but the lack of REDS. I find it difficult to understand how working together against JG4 and your friends is less preferable to chasing down lone wolves on Server 1 but each to their own.
Perhaps for future training events (which I know most of us taking part tonight will continue to support) some measure of evenness can be contrived? For instance, if its about training your newer wings, how about keeping one or two of your aces in a supporting/observing/bomber roles should the numbers be so skewed? Custom skins or even taking different type aircraft would be enough to ensure we don't go attacking them (more fool us if we do).
Allowing more of a running engagement would perhaps provide your pilots a better opportunity to gain more experience. I accept that Hanseat, Widu, DUI Cassius, Zerg and Rostic are likely to have to work harder but.....c'mon....all are more dangerous flying backwards with 1 gun than I am flying forwards with 8!!
All that said - I'm still coming back (if invited) - I had a blast and please don't take this as sour grapes at the crushing we (certainly I) got---I didn't even know that many holes could fit on a hurricane's wing!----
----it was fun!!
Thanks for inviting us
S!

A big thanks to all for Event.
Hello BOO.
The first start of our 109 was also very exhausting and really orderly we were only at the bombers
and some shot came on the account of the British KI bombers, which are on our way back.
I think we all had our fun, this is the main thing, and where you speak of brobleme with the language, nice greetings from google translator,
my last english teaching is 30 years ago
This was just a try and if the time allows it, we could repeat something like this every few weeks,
maybe next time you can come with the bombers to us, but unfortunately is my problem, can always only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Greetings and thanks,
Jos
Was a beautiful and massive formation. Was really nice to see how the squad keep the bombers cover after I'm not a danger anymore. Great work, bombers keep formation and the escort remains effective.
Count with me to help when needed. Was really cool. This sim is amazing.
If you guys from JG4 need more red pilots for other practice, BR Squad can provide some 6-7+ pilots if a schedule like 12pm London time is possible.
it was fun and stuff like this makes for a good night! - in hindsight perhaps with our radar the odd were not as steep as they seemed. A few more reds (say five) and a little more (heaven forbid) planning could have given everyone even more fun.
I dont presume to seize the mantle of leadership for the reds but I think a regular event like this can only get better and benefit us all in terms of planning strategies - its nice to have that side v side engagement where there is one focus that isn't diluted by some hotshot staffing the formation on takeoff!!
AS a combined fighter/bomber outfit I think its right that the focus should be on your training and enjoyment of escorted bomber raids - there's always the Boomers for red bomber events.
More please and you can count on my support all the way.
Regards
BOO
PS - Perhaps we could whitewash Karayas windscreen or something? or make him play on a 7" monitor?

In the first raid was my fault our attack don't be more efficient. With my mic mutted I reported the formation but nobody listen...
The first pass is critical against 109s escort. Those devil machines are fast...
This is why I like stuff like this - getting fly with people who I may normally miss - next time if we don't hear you lobo we will shout up!!
