Nice but, the engine is in the wrong place
Much better cooling perfomance when it's outside the frame lol.
Cooling performance... well. I will sadly have to make a new engine, this one is too low poly, It saddens me every time i think about it I liked this one (to be honest it took me one week to get the cylinder shape correctly, will take a few month to get them in high poly lol )
If your end goal is a video game, I'd keep it as low poly as possible. Looks good, good texture and normal work can do wonders on low poly models. No need to have 100 polys when 20 will work with a good texture and normal map.
What program are you using? The render reminds me of Blender but just curious.
Nice work. Don't stop now!
Yeh, looks like Blender internal engine.
It looks good!
As long you achieve good shape accuracy compared to high quality quality blueprints/drawings you can't go wrong. Then everyone will want your work.
As SM said, you can add a lot of detail using normals and texture, so high poly count isn't always necessary, and lots of modellers find themselves having to reduce their poly counts for game use anyway.
Nice.

.
Ofcourse, Low poly good poly. the engine has "rivets" in it, probably for cooling. Thats what i will do with Normal map. But the basic shape of the cylinders is ireplacable
Nine times out of ten I do high poly anyway, then retopo/decimate later if I need to. Not everything has to be for a game or large scale animation (3D printing!).
Yeah if you do a highpoly for some reason then want to use it for a video game, you can always use that highpoly model and bake those details into the low poly model.
I'll definitly try that, THX for advise

Here some progress, wingtips almost finished even tho...... Sadly to make it historicly correct i would need to rework the whole wing which i am not gonna do as the model is for private purposes, maybe later. I will use the model for renders of airfields and such (I can see that texturing will be a pain in the ass)

As far as i know it was this exact Focke model, the A5 that saw action, and even better, it can carry a lot of load, with the right modifications it has 1.65 ata and can carry 700kg of bombs at a speed of 500
edit: My Model has 17k tris right now, seems it will settle in at around 25-35k

Nice. Ask questions if you get stuck.
What reference drawings are used for this model?
The FW190A only saw action in Tunisia... which will not be included in TF 5.0.

In one form or another several FW190A's are planned for TF 6.0. They will be earlier short nose versions, i.e. 190A1/A2/A3/A4.
These will not be done by Hyperus... this will be one of the most popular aircraft we release and it has to be done to very high standards by a member of the team.
This has been mentioned to Hyperus several times.
All aircraft 3D models released by TF will be built by persons who are members of TF.

Just some High res drawings i think i got from Wikipedia(best source 2017) That didnt really matter as this is not 100% historicly accurate and isnt supposed to be, just a project to learn.
These ones: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...A5_3Seiten.jpg
A new update, wings finished (without the bulges for cannon ammo, without gear) Tail almost finished, You can see the armor plate in the cockpit, (to be reworked) and one of the next steps will be modelling the Pilot (yay something enteirerly new to do) Focke.jpg
Maybe you can start a mod team to replace the previous mod team.
That 190 reference is eye candy. Looking forward to seeing yours done and textured.
I can't speak for Hyperus... from my understanding we have told him we will look at his work if he wants to submit it and determine if he could be considered as a TF member.
If he came in, he would start on some simpler modeling work.
As I said, the FW-190A is a critical part of TF's future and we need very experienced professional level 3D modelers working on it.
Or......carry on enjoying what you are doing, enjoy it and if it when you feel like becoming part of TFS show us a selection of your work and we can consider if there is a place for him.
Please don't forget, we offer advice and are keen to encourage modellers but if Hyperus wants to just enjoy his modelling and share it here there is no problem.
Note also in his own words he hasn't time to correctly model the wings and that's fine, it's his work to do with as he wishes. We wouldn't be able to accept that model due to the innacuracy and subsequent 'outrage' from the community if a rivet was out of place let alone incorrect wings!
So final point, we will have our team create the 190's to historical standards and Hyperus can continue to enjoy his work and share his progress with the community.....no problem, cheers MP

all I know is that the 15 yr old is doing pretty good as it is. If 3D modelling is what you intend to do as a career (full or part time) Hyperus, it wouldn't hurt to consider submitting a portfolio of some more basic 3D modelling (building perhaps) to TFS to perhaps have history of work experience (albeit relatively informal) in a commercial/team environment to show a prospective employer down the line.
Even if its just for fun, having your stuff included in a game is pretty cool.
