Ey yo!
I'm so glad having found this community and the spare time to spend with you guys.
Coming here with a background from organised MilSim gaming (ArmA III), I was at first surprised at how... decentralized this community is, which only further intrigued me. Airmen's free spirit I guess.
Considering the absence of an official enlistment procedure and interview, I'll try to make myself familiar to you right here in the hope of making as many friends as I get shot down.
My real name is Vương, don't worry about correct pronunciation, you will be corrected if needed. Or just call me "Viktor".
I'm 20 years old, born in Vietnam, studying Physical Engineering in FH-Aachen, Germany.
I have list of hobbies so ridiculously large that they may not qualify as hobbies. One of them happens to be combat flight sim.
I am drawn towards increasingly complex games, often taking bites too big to chew at start, that only become enjoyable after long periods of abandonment and masochistic learning attempts. I believe that you can and SHOULD develop a healthy set of skill or knowledge from whatever activity you are engaged in, be it professional, academic, or just entertainment. My definition of "healthy" knowledge is one that has its practical place in real society.
I'm here to have fun, but first and foremost to seriously learn historical air combat tactics (which is the fun part anyway), a purpose that I'm sure have been vested into the right place.
So come at me, aces and rookies alike, I offer myself as target practice in return for your valuable lessons.
Show me no mercy in the air, yet please give this n00b some room to learn.
See you in battle lads! Auf Wiedersehen im Schlacht!
P/S: My Internet is FUBAR at the moment will remain so for an unknown duration, so unfortunately can't join you guys soon.
