Yes, from what I remember the flight was a bit special Marlow.
There is a story behind why I had my ATC Annual Camp air experience flight in an Anson rather than the usual Chipmonk.
I was slight of build and the Flight Safety Section did not have a parachute harness small enough to fit me. So while the other cadets had their 30 minute flights in the 'Chippy' I had a 4 hour round trip in the Anson. We did land in Edinburgh. I think the pilot bought me a drink and then we took off and flew back to RAF Topcliffe. Topcliffe is now just a satellite station and relief landing ground for the CFS at RAF Linton-on-Ouse. Most of it is now an army barracks these days.
I had the better part of the bargain I think.
