BLITZ (TFS4.5) Please report bugs in the Bug Tracker

Feel free to post in the forums if you have any technical game issues, however, if you have a game bug to report can you please use the TFS bug tracker HERE

    REPEAT POST

Many people are reporting bugs in this thread & in other threads. Can players please report bugs in the TFS BUG-TRACKER. This makes it easier for the development team to identify & track bug reports rather than having to trawl through many different threads for issues. Use the forum threads for help with technical issues. Thank you.

Re: Il-2 Cliffs of Dover BLITZ (TFS4.5) bug reports

Not a bug for sure and I'm not complaining (Thankyou TF for ALL the sweat put into Blitz ) but it would be good if TF could post something on how to restore all the things we had set-up in the old.

I was aware that we would have to remap our controls and I was prepared for that... took about 45 min but no problem.

Other things are becoming more problematic and hopefully are just a matter of copy / paste from my backup of CoD:

How do I get my custom weapon loadouts / convergences back? I copied the "default_user" file into C:\Users\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover but no joy.

How do I get reshade back? (Maybe not necessary since the graphics are much improved but still... I'd like to be able to fine tune to my setup.

    How to get TsNotifier back?

How to set view Zoom speed? Used to be in confuser but it doesn't work any more.

You need to copy the user.ini to get your personal loadouts and convergence..

Also TS notifier has to be told to use Launcher64.exe instead of the Launcher.exe.

Remember the start icon is now called launcher64.exe and not Launcher.exe.

Just confirm if you have an "il2 sturmovik cliffs of dover -MOD" folder in you "1C folder". If you dont then then ur old config and user files are gone... :/

Yeah, I backed up that in an external... Are you saying that I should move the backup MOD folder back to it's original place?

Copy the user.ini into which folder?

I see what you're saying about the Launcher64.exe and I'll give it a try.

IF you still have the "il2 sturmovik cliffs of dover -MOD" in your "1C Softclub"folder theb simply copy and paste the user.ini into your "1C softclub/Il2 Sturmovik cliffs of dover"(note the folder without MOD at the end)

No ONLY the user.ini from your MOD folder to the normal one.
TF4.5 is is an offical patch and nothing in your MOD folder is used anymore!

Doesn't seem to work. What I did before I downloaded it was I uninstalled the old game. When the new game installed all of the custom skins are sitting there in the folders already but they don't show up..Chat and S for players list wont work either in multiplayer

Re: Il-2 Cliffs of Dover BLITZ (TFS4.5) bug reports

    Noticed quirks:

Spitfire (all types, possibly all RAF aircraft) differential brakes have become fully ineffective after patch. Pressure indicator gauge shows differential action as expected, but no actual braking is applied to the wheels.

This was be noticed when steering the plane on the ground and testing the turn rate with and without brakes. There appears to be no difference, with the rudder being the only factor affecting direction while taxiing. This issue was experienced using an analog axis bound to the "brake both sides" input.

Nevertheless, brakes do work (very) effectively when used with neutral rudder. The issue does not change in relation to available brake supply accumulator pressure.

    Another quirk:

Merlin engine sounds are noticeably louder at low power settings than at high.

Similarly, the "growl" effect previously heard as a result of increasing boost with constant RPM is no longer audible. This reduces pilot awareness of engine performance by ear, as well as lessens the sensation of power in response to throttle input.

I'll post any new oddities experienced as they appear. Great update overall!

    A big round of applause!

I WILL FLY WITH MY FRIENDS YESTERDAY, LOOKING THAT THEY HAVE SIGNED THE ENGLISH AIRCRAFT, CHANGE SOUND OF THE ENGINE, WEAPONS, JA FROM THE BLUE SIDE WAS SAME THING. THE SOUND HAS NO SYNCHRONY WITH THE EXIT OF THE BULLETS, IT HAS BEEN HORRIBLE!
AND THE SPITFIRE SEEMS THAT IT HAS A JET ENGINE, IT GOES ABOVE AS A ROCKET, REALLY OUT OF REALITY.

Re: Il-2 Cliffs of Dover BLITZ (TFS4.5) bug reports

1/ Does anyone know if Gix Loadout tool or the RAF Loadout Manager programs will l work with 4.5?
I'm a lazy sod and found these very handy to load a group of planes easily.

2/ Thanks for this info Kling: "Also TS notifier has to be told to use Launcher64.exe instead of the Launcher.exe."
    Where do i find this?

    Thanks folks.

( Not sure where to put this so threw it in here)

    Windows 7 user

Not sure if this is a problem or not but when i launch the game (Blitz version) i get a message on my desktop saying the 'colour scheme has been changed to windows basic' - game seemed to run ok though only had a few minutes in quick missions .

I experienced a lot of issues with trying to bind controls last night - I know how to do it and what to set up, but i was finding that the bindings would work, and then they would stop working (i tried multiple input devices for the bindings (Joy Stick, throttle quadrant and even key board) to rule out a hardware problem). So for example i set my controls, then spawned a plane in the cross country mission and (picking one at random) my binding for throttle would work OK, and then a few seconds later it would not function at all. I was also when that happened not able to move any of the cockpit controls with my mouse (eg the throttle in this instance). At the same time other controls using the same input device were working fine......was a bit puzzling.

Ill see how i go but thought it worth mentioning

Anthrpomorphic Controls seems bugged. Flying straight and level and decreasing throttle has no effect whatsoever, same with toggling flaps. Unchecking the Anthropomorphic setting and all is fine.

    Anyone else?

You can be suffering from a control jittering which is making the game think you are moving it, even if so slightly.

The start procedure was not changed, is how you describe, but what means this "throttle cracked"?

Some planes accept very loose throttle placement for start, e.g. Spitfire from 0 to ~30%+.

Tiger Moth on the other hand require position lever between ~9.6 and ~10.4% no more, no less, or engine will die.
