It was a hurricane with an open cockpit on my left side. The pilot was just fair, as it was actually more often happened in the battle of Britain on both sides.
There is only a few stories about fair treatment in the early days of the war. And one about a B 17 and a BF 109 late war. And only the latter is confirmed.
Letting a enemy fight next day is stupid in real life, unless humanity get the best of you.
In this game it is a fair move and a choice I can understand.
this may have been me, i was flying hurricane and semi escorted a 109 back to France. This happend around the same day as you mentioned
