    AI Bomber flights

    Heyo

    Yesterday we (Axis Channel) discussed the whole AI Bomber missions , that are callable (especially at the start of the mission if youre faster then the other team to call it).

    I think there should be a atleast 15 minute delay before one team should be able to call a bomber mission.
    Alternativly disable the whole callable AI-Bombers completely or enable them for both teams (if one calls a mission then a corresponding mission for the other team gets automatically called,could have performance issues).
    I think it creates an unfair advantage for one team at the start of the mission.
    Yes i know for low playernumbers its a feature to not have a too empty map and give players something to do (escort or intercept) .

    What do you think?

    Fair point, first map that comes to mind for me is Mae West: Guaranteed Red will 9 times out of 10 call a strike on Dieppe which if not disrupted will wipe it out within 20 mins of the map starting. Sure it's the same on red, a delay before callout would be desirable.

    I quite like having to pull a beaufighter and go and shoot it down. I think maybe the radar (the one that gets automatically read out/printed at the top of the screen) should report on the incoming AI raid a bit more - this would make it more of a focus and combat trigger (protecting and attack). I'd also have them spawn at no more than 12k to give everybody a chance to get above them if desired. With the increased warmup times it can be very difficult to get a beaufighter warmed up and up to the required altitude.

    The attraction for the enemy party is the inteception. I am happy when the other side puts over their big boys. Happier if I see a breather escort. I have no qualms as to who gets in first. If its us, I try to escort to the other side as I know the
    "others" will be coming for them. They always do
