multiplayer on ATAG server

Hi folks,

I have made progress on my flying. Thanks to all of the folks who helped me directly or pointed me to useful resources. I really found Requiem's youtube's videos on landing very helpful.

Anyways, I can take off a land pretty well now and have started working on the gunnery practice. I can hit bombers pretty well from six and many times on high passes. I can hit AI fighters, but not hard or well and after a lot of flying.

I have flown on LeadFarm and encountered players 2-3 times. The first 2 I was shot down or crashed due to manuevers. But the last I turned and manuevered until the 109 gave up and flew away. I mostly shoot at the AI panes as practice until i run out of ammo.

I was interested to try flying on the real ATAG server. When is the best time when a noob won't cause problems and get get a wingman? Does it mess the team up to have a newbie show up? Any thoughts or recommendations?

Like Marlow says.... just jump in and say Hi... most of the time there is more than one on who will be happy to help out / wing up.

Being on Teamspeak is definately the key !

Whenever you want.
The ATAG servers are for having fun. The only rules are respecting everyone and no team killing.

This has eased my anxiety a bit. I've been mucking about with CoD for while now but still can't picture myself flying in mulitplayer. I might have to just jump in head first and give it a whirl.

Where ya based?

If you can fly UK time and fly RAF and would like a gentle no hassle crack at multiplayer I will be on on Wednesday with the chaps i regularly fly with... on the main Axis Allies Server but normall a diffrenet TS channel... feel free to join that.. probably flight 1

It's weird the first time you do this... now it feels normal but I'd never played multiplayer before this and certainly not on comms.

I totally understand the trepedation !

But there really isn't anything to worry about on ATAG. Its a jerk free zone !

As I have said before...The ATAG servers are for EVERYONE...New wings, Vets, practicing, Escort duties, bombing objectives or learning how to take off and land...Its there to be used and abused for fun...We don't want any new wings thinking they are not good enough or may cause problems for the vets in the server...We were all new once and getting in the mix sooner will be key to getting better sooner...

Without the new wings then we don't progress down this yellow brick road we call CLOD...We need you!

As everyone says can’t express enough the use of TS, communication and a wing man are the key to successful flight, you might not shoot anything down but if you survive and land that’s a success in its self, even if you jump on TS and just listen in for a while you’ll get the gist of it

Welcome to Atag John , like the lads above have said get onto ts for there lies the path of enlightment. Hook up with a wingman or a few and you will soon get over the learning curve. After a while you may wish to join a RAF unit there are plenty there for you to choose from.
Anyway best of luck and maybe our paths may cross over the channel sometime
