Can anyone reccomend a good free to use movie making program?

Over the last few months I have been getting into the movie making side of the sim.

I have been recording my in game NTRK files using OBS, but I am now looking for a good free to use movie making program in order to stitch together short clips ready for upload to my YouTube channel.

I started off using a program called NCH Video Pad, which was working fine, but when I wanted to make a video of the latest Highseas tour, I got a pop up saying that what I had was a trial version, and that in order to upload my finished video to YouTube, or even save it to my computer, I would have to pay for the full version.

So, I uninstalled NCH, and installed Youtube movie maker instead, then made my video only to get a pop up saying that I would need to pay for the full version if I wanted to make a movie that was more than 5 minutes long, so I had to shorten it considerably.

I was thinking of maybe trying Windows movie maker, which was part of windows essentials, but apparently this was discontinued, so can no longer be downloaded, and is no longer supported.

So I was wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for a free to use movie making program with no catches, no trial periods, and no limits.

    Thanks in advance,

    Try Davinci Resolve
It's a professional color grading piece of software but has some editing capability. The non studio version is free.
    https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/pro...avinciresolve/
    DaVinci Resolve 14
Revolutionary new tools for editing, color correction and professional audio post production for SD, HD and Ultra HD, all in a single application!
I have used vegas for years, would love Premier but I don't subscribe to paying for software forever.

I also picked up Cyberlink PowerDirector Ultimate the other day.
Not bad, much faster to render than Vegas, and only 50 bucks, has it's quirks though.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avidemux It's a simple to use editor with a lot of extra possibilities if you push it with scripts and plugins; free and open-source. I use it.

I’m using Power Director and love it. Hundreds of Free elements on line post purchase too. You cannot argue with the price or the after sale supplementary items. Does a great job

Hitfilm (hitfilm.com) is pretty good and free for the price of an email. The free version is good enough for most tasks and you can buy add-ons (quite cheaply) to augment things like effects and filters.
