Has 4.5 changed overheating in RAF planes?

I am just noticing something (a little slow on the uptake). It seems that, while flying red at least, my engine has much less of a tendency to overheat quite so quickly? Where I used to find it necessary to keep it wide open at all times in order to avoid blowing the engine, I now find that I can close it a bit as long as I keep an eye on my oil temps. Is this a new bug fix that I somehow didn't notice in the readme for 4.5? If so, well done TFS!

As was mentioned in the release and in some updates, the whole overheat system has changed for 4.5.

And in some situations, the RAF aircraft will overheat less quickly... sea level for example.

Up at high altitudes, they are more likely to overheat.

Well I must have missed it somehow. Very nice.
