spitfire and hurricane tach not moving

I have noticed with the Spit and Hurri that the tach will not move off 1600rpm until I get to 35-40% throttle input then it jumps and the engine sounds actually change to match the input. The throttle lever in cockpit moves in relation to my throttle input but no tach movement or sound change till 35+ %. My prop pithch is 100%...full fine. Is there something I'm missing here??

Re: spitfire and hurricane tach not moving

Those early RAF tachs only read RPMs above 1600, this is a historical limitation they had.

As for the idle sounds, this has already been reported, and is now listed as "in progress" on the TF issue tracker.

In 4.3 the tach moves off 1600 with 1 or 2% throttle and the sound matches.....lets hope that the in progress sound issue also resolves the tach issue
