I used to fly Condor some years ago. It looks a bit different, but not as much as I expected. The original version was developed by just two guys. Is it the same with v2?

Does anybody know if they've improved the weather model.

    EDIT: Nvm, found it: http://www.condorsoaring.com/whats-new/

They have, it's good. Had a quick fly in the free flight this eve and the fm seems to have been improved too. Ridge lift is modelled better and the clouds look great.

Some while back I was looking for a good soaring sim and Condor was recommended over Silentwings.

Besides having the urge to fly anything my whole life, maybe the inspiration came from when I was a young lad (8'ish or so) and we had a tenant in our outside room that flew gliders.
Was fascinating to me. Bugger always promised to take me for a flight but never did.

As for Condor2, I see it has been a long time coming but with little graphical or TiR improvements. Thats a bit of a disappointment.
It is the best physics modeled soaring sim but has been lacking the last 10 years or so (thats long lacking) on the gpu front.

Some comments on the condor forum, "condor 2= condor 1 + plane pack 3 + wave + dx11"

You also have Xplane 11 with soaring for noobs I suppose. I have xplane, havent tried it but will give it a bash. No doubt thermals and weather are much less modelled in Xplane than a dedicated glider sim.

There are a number of RL soarers on this forum that fly Cliffs, would value some input as well.

I love aviation, I fly a sailplane and I love gliding overall. The CONDOR SOARING series is pretty cool and the flight physic is very close to reality. I bet much closer than iL2CoD.
