Yesterday (Sunday 18th) on the ATAG server there was an epic battle between the RAF, who came in force at high altitude just North of Boulogne, and the rag-tag group of Luftwaffe fighters who happened to be around (at least 2:1 odds). The RAF came about 12 to 14 strong (not sure, hard to count so many contacts in the excitement of the moment), at about 6,000 m (about Angel's 18).
Thanks to the sacrifice of the valiant DRock (if I remember correctly), who gave the defender's early warning of the raid and eventually fell to the vastly superior force, the LW was able to regroup and counter the attack, eventually repulsing the raid.
Just wanted to thank the RAF pilots who put the effort of coordinating their attack, making the simulation so much more enjoyable, and the LW pilots who responded to the call of duty and put their (virtual) lives in danger for a very enjoyable game moment. If anyone has a movie of the fight, the sky full of swirling contrails would be well worth a post!
