Looks good TF! Excited especially about AI rewrites. AI is a weak point for CloD so it's good to see that it's being worked on.

Great work! Maybe I missed it, but what will be the list of flyable aircraft for 5.0? And will the updates also be applied to the 1940 BoB area?

We will be adding to the thread, but here is a list:

Yes, our intent is to allow for the updates on the channel map, making Battle of France scenarios, and post-BoB action.

71st_AH_Moose (XR-M): First off, TFS wants to apologize for the inconvenience of the last two days due to the Steam update. The latest Steam update caused Cliffs of Dover Blitz not to run. We became aware of the issue right away and focused all of our attention and resources to finding a fix as soon as possible.

The only culprit is a file named steamclient64.dll which came with the Steam Client Update on Wednesday, March 21st, and is (for whatever reason) incompatible with Cliffs Of Dover Blitz. This is why Cliffs Of Dover Blitz crashes on startup.

We have found a fix and the files have been sent on, so we are hopeful that there will be an update today which will get people back in the virtual skies. Thank you for your patience during the last couple of days.

    69th_Sawham: Thanks a bunch

Great! Seeing Friedrichs battling it out with Spit Vs over the Channel in 1941/42 ? Seeing the introduction of FV 190 with JG26 ? Yes, Yes? I like!

Agree completely. A rewrite of the A.I. - especially by the guy who did the business for TD - is very good news. Wellington turret shots look simply astonishing!! Infact everything I've seen on the Wellington development has been brilliant

    Thanks for the update Spiritus

    A huge thank you!

Having Friday-Updates every two weeks again is very encouraging, the Wellington images look amazing!

@SM: In the entry post it would be handy to have a link back to the news.

    Very good news!
The Wellington turrets are just fantastic!
New ships also look very nice.
Once released I think I will spend a lot of time just flying and comparing the landscape to the photographs I inherited from my dad.

And finally a hangar with a back-wall where even Maru cannot fly through

Regarding "The land/water draw issue has been corrected", does this mean the depth of the water has been corrected so that the land tiles are no longer under the water texture, which causes bombs and aircraft to explode on the surface rather than splash?

No it was that issue with the land drawing straight out into the water at a distance. You can see it in your video when we announced Tobruk as the new map.

I'm expecting to do a bi-weekly update to the original thread with a new aircraft update, new map news, and adding to the ships/statics/so on. Not sure if I'll be able to post photos of everything though in a single thread.
