In need of some serious training.

Hello all, wondering if anyone out there is willing to fly with a rookie to teach home the ropes in German aircraft. I keep blowing my engine shortly after take off. Having issues spotting too. US east coast time

I'm not able to assist with the training but just until someone more able and knowledgeable on the Blue air-frames comes along here's a few thoughts that might get you going.

Assuming you have definitely opened both rads then it's probably too much RPM. The water rad works on an off or on for open or close (lever up/down or middle). Using prop-pitch keep your RPM below 2300 as a rough guide. You might need to switch auto-prop on and off to make it work.

just hop on TS and listen and ask questions....are your rads open when u take off? oil rad open? keep the rpm 2400 and under...make sure your adjusting prob pitch as needed. take an E4 when possible as its auto prop pitch so its easier for you

Onya mate for asking for help.

Some of the best 109 pilots in game have responded here, so I really encourage you to take any offer from these guys.

Re spotting. You will have days where you see enemy like basketballs, and others you will be searching for the phone no. for Specsavers...

Even the best have these days. Heard a cracking one liner from one of the great Red pilots the other day, wanting to know why he can spot a friendly from miles away, but doesn't see a 109 until its fair up him.

We all laughed, for that sums up some of the days ahead for you.

Look forward to flying with and against you.

Big_Country, I had fun flying with you and Sceptre last night on TS. We all really like doing what we can to bring teammates up to speed so they can have a better experience and participate with the bunch, so if you have questions please ask away.
