Welcome to the Community and Forums maxprime3...~S~

Checkout the 'Beginners Guide'...for info and tips...It will save you a heap of time in getting up to scratch.....and its a really fun learning curve too...

    Beginners Guide

    Windows Management Guide

Also try youtube for startup procedures on all the aircraft...

I recommend getting in the online server as soon as you can take off if that's ultimately where you'd like to fly...I flew single player for 30 minutes before I took the plunge...The ATAG online server is a great environment to learn and there's not really any damage you can do in there as a new player.....It is also mission based just with real players trying to foil your objectives...If you are concerned then pick an airstrip furthest from the front line (there always is one or two on every map) and get some alt before you go hunting...You'll get tagged a lot but there are tricks you learn out of pure desperation in those first few weeks that you'll be able to use later...I know cos I still use the same tricks I learned then too because they work...and never underestimate the stall to get you out of a tight fix...That sometimes works too...

TeamSpeak is optional but you'll learn a whole lot faster with it even if you say very little once you are on the server...You are quite welcome to just listen if you feel more comfortable with that....so you don't actually need a mic either...Try it and see!

    Re: Hi

Hi Max and Deltamelon.....we were all 'new' once and we all remember how it felt. That's why we are keen that you ask as many questions as you like in this Forum.

We have a wealth of very experienced chaps here, who really know their stuff so you will not go short of answers. Of course, Lewis' famous welcome post is the best place to start. We also recommend that you download Team Speak (it's free) so that we can talk to you when you go online. That's where all the fun is, where missions are undertaken and where pilots work together to achieve success. it's also where a lot of laughing happens and we wouldn't want you to miss out on all the fun!

Get stuck in and once you can get your 'kite' up in the air and (hopefully) down again, come and join us in multiplayer and say 'hello! There will be a warm welcome awaiting you! Good luck and ......Salute!

    Re: Hi

    ....I heard that! Ha ha!

Fatal's right, DrDe...in that there is masses of good info on this website and lots of servers where you can fly Cliffs 'Blitz.' ATAG have two servers available: 'Axis and Allies' and TFS3 Tobruk....but there is also an excellent server, soon to be running the TWC Campaign. This is a highly realistic battle campaign designed and run by TWC and a certain genius and larger than life character who goes by the name of....you guessed it...... Fatal Error! Get stuck in! Salute!

    Cool Re: Hi

Getting back into IL2! Haven't fly for a long time. Used to fly online with N0 403 Wolf Squadron but for now will mostly play single player. (Not much time to fly multi!)
Thanks for all the works and keeping IL2 alive!

Look in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\1C SoftClub for a file called confUser.ini. This is created when you install the program and updated when you change keybindings.

And as Kendy says, turn off Steam Cloud.

    Hello Aeronurd

Please take the time to read the 'Getting Started and Troubleshooting Guide'.... there are lots of suggestions there for solving this kind of problem.

For example, did you check to see if Windows is set to allow it to turn off power to your USB ports? This will kill your bindings.
