Nice...I look forward to flying against that beast. Wonder if it will have the same recoil as the 109s do with their cannons? I think many red pilots who never fly blue will find that hitting something with cannons isn't always as easy as it seems with the accuracy affected by the recoil.

Yes, it does have the same recoil... if not more.

But we may be adjusting that down a bit for TF 5.0.

Yes, feel free to tone down the recoil for the 109 but keep it for the Spits

I was assuming that that was what you meant LOL
we would not want the single center line cannon in the F to have an advantage now would we.
seems like the very troublesome asymmetric cannon recoil in the 109 was never an issue but now that the spit will have that problem (and should be worse in the spit due to the ballistics of the hispanno) it is an issue that needs to be fixed.
I look forward to flying the spit V.

but that being said nice update Buzz keep them coming.

The issue of the recoil was a concern previously, but we didn't have the source code.

The 109F engine mount cannon has almost no recoil effect currently.

Recoding the concussion induced shake of weapons... so the effect is the same both with FF joysticks and without is a considerable investment in time.

There were a lot of issues which were quite a bit higher up the list for 4.5.

and TFS does not have more important issues with 5.0?

thanks for taking the time to indulge me and my questions Buzzsaw.

The fact is, there was significant recoil from wing mount cannon or larger MG's... that is a historical fact.

Experiencing this is not a bug.

That was one of the reasons the 109's switched to the Engine mount.

If you want to get rid of the recoil, there are several simply solutions:

    - Don't use Force Feedback

    - Adjust the FFB file in your game. (there are posts describing how to do this)

If you are trying to suggest there is anti-blue bias in the modeling of the game... I would suggest you fly the 109E-4N.

If you have trouble doing well in that plane, then time to practice your energy fighting.

Re. the guns and recoil... since you are so concerned, I think we'll leave things as they are... with the noticeable recoil for Spits with cannon in the wings and 109E with cannon.

Then you can really complain when the 190A with its four wing cannon arrives.

Yes, there are dozens of more important issues.

Oh my word! I hope the cockpit has some improvements too, the Spit cockpits in-game currently are a bit of a hot mess to be frank.

If you want to get rid of the recoil, there are several simply solutions: I do not use FFB and never will even without FFB the effective range for the 20mm in the 109 is under 200m with the recoil effect outside of 200m it is very difficult to hit anything.

    - Don't use Force Feedback

    - Adjust the FFB file in your game. (there are posts describing how to do this)

If you are trying to suggest there is anti-blue bias in the modeling of the game... I would suggest you fly the 109E-4N. almost always do

If you have trouble doing well in that plane, then time to practice your energy fighting. thanks for the advice

Re. the guns and recoil... since you are so concerned, I think we'll leave things as they are... with the noticeable recoil for Spits with cannon in the wings and 109E with cannon. I agree and I think that if you read my post you will see that I was never complaining about the recoil effect, I was concerned that (as you indicated in the first post i responded to) you were planning to nurf the recoil effect now that the spit V would have the heavy recoil hispannos in the wings. I think that this would detract from the new planes in 5.0 that apply the real historical solution to this problem, the motor mounted cannon.

Then you can really complain when the 190A with its four cannon arrives. since I was never complaining about the effect, when the 190 hits with TFS 6.0 I will be happy to see the 109E4 and the spit V scattering cannon rounds all over the place and the 190 do it even more.

    thanks for your time

The main issue is the windscreen framing, the frames are too thick.

(from a VB but the structure is identical)

This is something which impedes forwards visibility a fair bit. Something which is a bit nitpicky I must admit, but I never fail to notice, is that in-game the RAF gunsight is completely round, when in actuality it was flatter along the sides and the top.

That's good news! My one other point would be that these early Spitfires (Mk I and II, in the Mk. V it remains black) had green internal windscreen frames.

    Spoiler:

Would make for a nice change of scenery .

Yes, the Bf 109 is a very small aircraft. Which is good in some ways but not so good in others. I think the Hurricane and Spitfire are somewhat bigger than the Bf 109 (also good in some ways but not so good in others) and the Spitfire wings are almost a third larger in size.
