I think after a couple of months a person would forget about all of our lame lazy comforts...Or we might go mad lol. A person would sure learn what's import and what's trivial in a hurry. Plus it's plain beautiful.
Because of my job I had to live several times for extended periods in circumstances that were, let's say substandard in various degrees from a 'Western' perspective.
Looking back I am grateful I had to do so.
While I had to do so, I was really, really looking forward not having to do so.
And now I enjoy my big fridge, central heating, soft bug-free pillows, functioning electricity, working internet, shops and restaurants all around in walking distance, and lean back in my comfy chair with some nice music playing in the background and advise my son 'to go out and see a bit of the world'
