    Rudder pedal recommendations?

    Hi Guys.

I’m looking to invest in new rudder pedals, since my Saitek combat rudder pedals are starting to fail. I’ve been really impressed with their performance up to this point, but 3500+ hours are showing.

It seems that these pedals are now discontinued. Otherwise, I’d consider buying them again.

Any suggestions on pedals equal to or better within a reasonable price range ?

    The MFG Crosswind looks interesting.

Thanks, and hope to see you guys soon.

    Hey DRock

You could try the Thrustmaster TFRP rudder pedals - I have them and they seem to do a good job. Kind of plastic-y feel to them though and if left with no lubrication they do tend to judder a bit with small movements, but I used silicone barrier cream on the rails and that works nicely, they are very precise now. http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/pr...-rudder-pedals

If you do have the cash though I would go with something better.

MFG Crosswinds. recognised without issue, solid well made construction. Ability to change tension to suit your style, various cams available to again adapt to playing style. Absolutely love them, Should the day come when I have to replace them, Ill replace them with another Crosswind set. Tho to be honest, we will probably be playing hologram sims then so I reserve the right to change my mind.

Can be a delay in delivery which may or may not be a factor. I have found the companies willingness to communicate inspirational. Their after sales service (enquirers re software etc) has been excellent.

    Pros
    Almost everything
    Adaptability
    Construction
    Accuracy
    Software
    Compatibility

    Cons

I own the Crosswinds and they are most probable the last pedals I'll ever buy: They are a masterpiece of handcraft and made to last forever. If you know that you'll keep on flying for a long time, they're a good investment.

Crosswinds would be my choice too, if I would spent such much money on pedals.

For about $120 I suggest CH products Pedals (USB-Variant):
    https://www.amazon.com/CH-Products-P.../dp/B0000512IE

I'm satisfied with them, my last pair did last for 10 years of continiously simulating.

If you're considering of buying them used, be sure to choose the USB-variant. There are still also Gameport-versions on the market, useless for modern PCs.

    Re: Rudder pedal recommendations?

Mine are Crosswinds and will be Crosswinds in the future. All the more so since all the parts appear to be easily replaceable should something wear out.

Unless I can break this flight sim addiction, which hasn't happened yet, albeit not for lack of trying.

These pedals are perhaps not so familiar and are certainly not too expensive if you can find them somewhere, the middle one is for the coffee machine
