    I had completely forgot that not all users has access to private TWC campaign forum. And now when video is ready, I share that post and the video here.

    The first problems began even before takeoff. Vit_unit, on which incredibly high hopes were placed on piloting another bomber, lost all his controls settings. Therefore, he could not even take off.

    Along the way, we were found and attacked by a single Spitfire. The escort fighters were unable to intercept him in time, and he managed to damage the bomber manned by Zerg_rcm. A minute later, the Spitfire was shot down. But Zerg_rcm fell out of bombers formation and continued to follow the group alone. Although the damage was not significant (only a few holes in the wings and a small leak), but his speed was much slower than the speed of the group. Now in the first flight flew -DED-Elseff, and I. In the second flight were Cassius, JG4_hanseat and mvs. Somewhere behind there was a Zerg_rcm flying slowly but surely.

    The dropping of bombs on the airfield was also not without problems. We reached the target well, exactly along the runway. In the first flight, both bombers drop their bombs. In the second flight, there was an "incident". Since JG4_hanseat was located in another TeamSpeak channel, the second flight leader Cassius had gave command separately for JG4_hanseat and for mvs. But since we haven’t flown for a long time and our skills have slightly powdered dust, Cassius gave the command only to JG4_hanseat. However, mvs waited, and waited, and waited for the command, but did not wait. He could not drop bombs himself, after two other bombers dropped the bombs, because he was watching through bombsight and looking at the airfield, instead of closely watching his flight leader.

    As a result, the airfield received very heavy damage, but was not destroyed. All hope remained on Zerg_rcm.

    ... here should be a painful pause, but in the text it is quite difficult to express it. Therefore, we recall our fighters.

    While we were approaching the aerodrome, our attack fighters “JABO” separated from the group. Three fighters took part in the raid on targets in Portsmouth: 159BAG_Koksa, Val72 and JG4_DUI. JG4_DUI dropped the first bomb. According to 159BAG_Koksa, the building caught fire, but the target was not destroyed. Meanwhile, 159BAG_Koksa and Val72 continued to dive to their target. Because Val72 does not learn the location of the targets (because he was talking on the phone when everyone was preparing to fly out. Yes, yes. You must use push-to-talk in TeamSpeak so that the whole team would not know what you doing when you left the computer ) 159BAG_Koksa very thoroughly and very quickly explained how to find the desired target. Even I, sitting in a bomber's cabin at a distance of more than 50 kilometers from that area, got a detailed idea of how the target looks and where to look for it. This explanation was much better than a small white spot, which is imprinted on a terrible photo from recon intelligence.

    So. 159BAG_Koksa had to drop bomb first and if the target survives, then Val72 will have to finish it. In addition, if the target is destroyed, then Val72 will have to look for the second target that JG4_DUI tried to attack. As a result, the goal of “Propeller repair Portsmouth” was destroyed by 159BAG_Koksa. Unfortunately, after finishing the attack, he was killed by anti-aircraft guns. Now it remains for Val72 to find a second target and drop bombs on it. As mentioned earlier, the target that attacked by JG4_DUI caught fire, which means it could be easily found by the smoke.

    But the attack was frustrated by two Hurricanes that sneaky crept. I heard from negotiations in TeamSpeak that Val72 was damaged by the engine, and after a few more seconds we find out that the pilot of Val72 was killed.

    "Airfield Salisbury has been disabled." We saw this message immediately after Zerg_rcm finally reached the airfield and threw all the bombs on it. It would seem - Hurray! The target is destroyed! But no ... The damned airfield turned out to be with an error in the server code and was not counted as destroyed, although the server itself in the chat wrote “Sailsbury 100% destroyed”.

    Zerg_rcm on a damaged plane went home, and we continued on our second target - the kerosene storages in Bekton (is an urban neighborhood in east London). Along the way, we came across a group of four Wellingtons who were about to land after a hard task. But this time they were not destined to return home. Our covering group, boring for half an hour from airfield, gladly attacked the enemy. We were sitting in the cabins of our bombers, just watched as fighters attacked enemy bombers and their burning debris fell to the ground.

    At this time, 159BAG_Koksa and Val72 raised a pair of 109s to the sky with bombs and went to Portsmouth with the hope of destroying the remaining targets there.

    While we flew to Beckton, in addition to the enemy bombers, there were other enemy aircraft, but since the interception group was always on the alert, our enemies could not reach us, for which many thanks to the guys from JG4. Always come to help.

    But here we are closer to our second target. It is clearly visible in sight. In the bomb bay only one bomb left and you need to be very accurate. It was hope that if we miss, then mvs would definitely cover the target with a series of all eight bombs that he had left after the passage of the first target. But here a surprise crept up to us: “mvs leaves the server”. This inscription killed all hope for a 100% confidence that the target will be destroyed.

    How so? Why connection is broken? In Teamspeak, the connection is not lost. A full disaster.

    While I aiming my sight to the kerosene storage with shaking hands by excitement, our fighters successfully destroyed the second target in Portsmouth: “Depth Charge Workshop Portsmouth”. Finally the good news. I has little bit become calmer. There is hope to "roll" the map. If one of the main targets cannot be destroyed, then the team can destroy several additional targets instead. In addition, while we were flying, raids of bombers under the control of artificial intelligence have already destroyed several secondary targets.

    Our second target is already very close. Angle in sight 35, 30, 25 ... DROP! I give the command to the second bomber little bit early, in case if my bomb overfly the target. Angle 21.5 - throwing myself and running to the place of the bottom gunner position. It is good that Heinkels has an autopilot. I watch the falling bombs and count seconds.

    The first explosion happened just 10 meters south of the target. My heart sank, but only for a moment. After a second, I watched an explosion of indescribable beauty. Huge flames and flying debris of storage and nearby buildings scattering in all directions. Now I was satisfied. It was no longer important whether we reached the airfield, because the loss of the planes in the game would not prevent us from starting the next sortie.

    We took a course on the airfield Marquise West, which is on the opposite side of the map from the Theville airfield, from which we took off. Yes, the route was long. Even on the Storm of war server, I can only remember one sortie where we took off from the Reli-Noren-Fonte airfield. Then flew over London and landed at the Carcuebut airfield.

    On the way back, the enemy fighters were still trying to intercept us, but our fighters guarding the bombers throughout the route shot down all of them.

    The landing went well. Only when we had already driven into the parking lot, -DED-Elseff crashed into me and broke the wing. Yes, the mechanics will now have to sweat. We went to get familiarized with the plan of second operation, because there are still important and not destroyed targets.

    While we were preparing, 159BAG_Koksa and Val72 destroyed another target in Portsmouth. At this time, secondary, but no less important, because the airfield did not go to score.

They flew twice to the targets in Portsmouth and had destroyed by one target in each sortie. Namely, “Depth Charge Workshop Portsmouth” and “Wood alcohol storage”.     Separately, I want to note a series of failures that chased the mvs throughout the evening, which he, judging by his voice, endured calmly and without unnecessary frustration. If I were so “lucky”, I would have stopped all the flights for the evening after the first sortie and went to sleep in sadness. At first he did not receive a drop command. Then the loss of communication with the server. In the second sortie, being heavily hit by an enemy fighter in a desperate attempt to throw off the remaining bombs at the target, he forgot that they were with high-altitude fuses. It feels like a black cat has run across him somewhere along the way to the plane, thirteen times.

    However, with all of this, in the first sortie, his crew incredibly managed to avoid captivity and returned straight from the London to France.

    Great AAR Rostic. Glad to see you guys having fun in the TWC server. Dozens of great stories like yours in there are never told so its fantastic to read these accounts from pilots within. Well done to your Squadron and the other Blues.
